CSD 5.6 comes with EQ 0.051 (the same as 5.5). In hardware manager everything looks fine and up-to-date for PMs. When you try to connect, error is: "Please upgrade the EQ File to version 0.053 or newer." Can we receive correct EQ file? I already updated devices firmware and converted project files to 5.6 and I wish to continue with this version. Thanks, Kiril
Hi Kiril, I apologize for the issue. We have confirmed this is the case with the version of CSD that had been posted to the forum. I've temporarily removed the post. We are working to resolve this. I will hopefully have an update for you later today. Again, my apologies for the issue, and thank you for reporting it to us.
Hi Nick, Thanks for the quick response - we managed to run the system with this version. The only problem I had was the firmware update of the PMs, it does not work from Hardware Manager and I had to use CSupdate.exe. Can you try to reproduce the situation? Thanks, Kiril
Hi! If you choose to have gridlines at 1m, the ruler on the window edges change, but no gridline is shown through the window. Only 0 - 2 - 4 - 6 a.s.o in 2m interval gridlines is shown. Hope that this can be fixed Best Regards, Lars
Hello, I have a dealer who is having issues with Modeler 6.9 software on his computer. He is running Window7 Pro on his computer and after he installed Modeler 6.9, the system acts like it’s booting Windows, but then blue screens right before the login screen. When I boot into Safe Mode and remove 6.9 the system boots normally? The driver it’s complaining about is iaStorA.sys. He was running Modeler 6.8 on this computer with no issue and is currently running Modeler 6.9 on a Windows 10...
iaStorA.sys is an Intel SATA Storage Device RAID Controller. Which is not something Modeler would ever directly deal with, especially during the boot process. The only aspect that I can even imagine having anything remotely to do with a system driver related to storage devises would be the dongle. Perhaps it is using drive id/serial as part of a hash. But that seems to be a stretch for a dongle as I see no purpose, though I have no idea what their code is really doing. I would verify that it...
Adam, Thanks for looking at this. "I would verify that it is Modeler v22.214.171.124 and possibly the variant and age of the dongle being used. Also I would ensure that Modeler was installed with Administrator permissions. " The key is probably four years old and was working fine up to the latest installation of 6.9 until the operating system was reinstalled (boots up fine with v6.8 on that computer but crashes with 6.9) I can check to see if they have the key inserted when they are booting up.
Hi Bruce, I just re-ran the installer that Trevor distributed in March. It indeed installs 126.96.36.199. You'll receive a PM with the download information. Thanks for looking into this, Adam. best rgds, Thomas
I didn't see a follow-up to this post, but after trying to help one of our contractors who was getting the "blue screen of death" every time he tried to installed 188.8.131.52, I thought his IT guy's discovery might help others: "One of my IT guys did find a posting on an online board about this that may be of interest to you. Apparently this version of the Sentinel LDK runtime has a known issue when trying to install on machines that use server-class processors such as Xeon (which I happen to...
Hi Dave, thanks much for sending this additional information. I actually received a new notebook a few weeks ago and its got a 'Xeon inside'. It's running Windows 7. I still need to install all the software but I used this occasion and installed Modeler 184.108.40.206 as a first check: No problems, especially no bluescreen. And no updated Sentinel drivers were required. Just a really smooth installation process. Strange thing... best rgds, Thomas
The search for the installation continues..... I sent him a newer HASP installer (7.55) which he installed and then attempted to install Modeler 6.9 again. The good news is that the computer did not go into the BSOD. The bad news is that he got this error; "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bose\Bose Modeler 6.9\ipp20\ippsw7.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. C:\Program Files (x86)\Bose\Bose Modeler 6.9\ipp20\ippsa6.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it...
The ipp20 files in question should be put down by our installer. My first step would be to verify that they were indeed installed. My second step would be to verify that the user in question has traverse and read permissions for the ipp20 directory and all files within. I suspect that the installer was not run 'As Administrator' and that the user in question does not have admin permissions. If this is indeed the case, the uninstaller first needs to be run with the same permissions that the...
Hi, guys. I've been having issues with 6.10 with SHOWMATCH and ROOMMATCH arrays. When I do CTRL+C/CTRL+V the software crashes and there´s no way to recover the model. This is a very useful tool when working on stadiums and sports using several distributed arrays. Is this something we can check? Thanks, D.C.
Hi Diego, Sorry for the inconvenience. I tried to reproduce, but was only partly 'successful'. But it seems like the problem only occurs when 'Auto-Layout' is selected - can you confirm this ? I also noticed that Modeler may crash upon normal close, after a model with copy/pasted arrays has been successfully saved. The model will not be corrupted. I'll pass this on to Engineering. Thanks and best rgds, Thomas
Hi Diego, could you please post a model and steps to reproduce ? Pls. also include some info about your system, like OS, etc. You could also send a (zipped) System Info file. If the model is confidential, pls. send via PM. Thanks again, Thomas
Hi guys, please let us know at least the OS you are running. It looks like Diego is running Win10. I just tried again on another Win 7 machine and copy-pasted like 30 arrays of all kinds w/out any problem. Please see the Help menu, select System Info. Save the info file, zip it up (it's a large .txt file) and attach to this topic. Again, thanks much and sorry for the inconvenience. best rgds, Thomas
Hi all. When designing a small SM system were the subs are arrayed with the FR modules the Link Bar & Pullup is a very nice feature to save cost and weight. However it’s not an option in Modeler 6.10.17. When this is missing the pickup point, total weight and image of the cluster is wrong in the rigging report. I would very much like this small but useful feature be added in next release. Best regards Jorgen Allen
Hello, Attached are the DesignMax Modeler files for Modeler 6.11. A downloadable updater will also be available on pro.bose.com soon. For now, you can manually install the SPM files and images. Images should be pasted into the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bose\Bose Modeler 6.11\data\speaker_data\Bose\Images A new folder called DesignMax should be created in Speaker_Data > Bose, and then SPM files should be pasted into it in this location C:\Program Files (x86)\Bose\Bose...
Hej Jorgen, I think I better leave the feature requests for the Product Managers... I wonder what you are missing most: Are you concerned about a wrong pickup-point being predicted ? I would say that with a typical design, like the one you showed, the influence of the link bars on CoG is negligible. The array weighs 230 kg and the LB's just a percent or so of that weight. Hope this helps... Best rgds, Thomas
Hi Thomas. I forgot to add the pullup on the array above.Below is the closest prediction you can get and the difference then is:Minus 1x SMAF 37,6 kg, and Plus link bar (negligible as you write) So my biggest concern is that the prediction includes 2 SMAF (37,6kg) and with link bars you only use 1. //jorgen
Hej Jorgen. I have to correct myself. In my reply from above, I forgot to consider the extra full frame. I just considered the additional weight of the link bars. Those I would neglect, but probably not the second full frame. In the end, it all depends on where the COGs of the individual parts are (it's simple levers in side view), so e.g. 3x SM20 would show a different effect than 3x SM5 with no splay. Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to see if we can use a sheet from ME to calculate...
No worries TS. I’m not doing a specific design with link bars right now, but question are coming from dealers why the feature of link bar is not part of Modeler rigging. So it would be nice if it could make it some day. all the best, jorgen
Hi all If this should be handled as a feature request, please move it accordingly. The device list in CSD is missing the PS604A and PS404A amplifiers. Checked on 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6(.2.30797). Although just a graphical issue, my sales department often use CSDs Project View to plan and order components for installations. Workaround so far has been to use the passive amplifier block (PS604) and add a note to it.
