ESP22-D is not a endpoint in ESP?

MarcH ·
Hi there all! So im installing a number of ESP22-D. But i have a difficulty to understand something. The ESP22-D is called a Bose Dante Endpoint right? So why is it not under the Dante Endpoints toolkit tab in CSD? I have a ESP-1240D and 2x MSA12X are in that tab and i can use them als a Dante Endpoint Block. But the ESP22-D not ? Why? Do I have to manually add a Dante Input and use the Dante Controller to assign the connections? Using the latest and greatest of CSD. Also updated everything.

Hello, I'm new to ControlSpace and am trying to get a system operational. I've been having problems connecting to the 1240 Dante Network card in Controlspace reliably. It says I need a firmware update but when I try to find the correct file it doesn'r seem to be in the Dante Firmware folder. I found a help file PDF link here in the forums but for some reason I don't have access to view the topic. Can anyone advise please? Thanks! -Joe

Remote App Network Performance with Dante

JeffAlex2 ·
Hey Guys, We deploy CS Systems over enterprise networks with VLANs and SSIDs set up for the audio system. We never experienced any significant lag in control when using the ESP00, but when that was discontinued we switched to Dante to get the distribution capability we needed. Since switching to Dante we are noticing lagged behavior with the remote control apps. Is this a result of having remote control and Dante distribution on the same network or is there something else we should check? ...

Even when power cycling the device. back Ethernet status leds blink normally. the device controlspace IP is not responding to ping or anything, not found on the CSD software either. He re-upload the configuration and everything was ok. But t he problem occurred again last week. My first guess was that it has to do with a power failure. At least the second time the error occurred after a power failure. From the first time he does not know. Does somebody has any idea ?

How to get notification if primary network fail

Hi all, I have a shopping mall project used ESP1240 w/Dante and 7x PowerMatch w/Dante that all set by redundancy mode. On-site operators asked how to get notifications from ESP or PM if primary network fail. Since on-site operators are unable to recognize which streaming (primary or secondary) is working by sound, they want to be notified(by LED indicators or something) if primary network fail and then could take maintenance action. Thanks in advance. Austin

Hi JeffAlex2, Normally, Dante audio transmit channels should be able to be routed to any other Dante receiving channels or cards. In some cases it's with minimal to no control (i.e. mic/line level switching). However, on Yamaha's website, they seem to list their stage boxes as compatible only with "Yamaha TF mixers with Dante cards".. So I can't guarantee compatibility with our Dante-enabled products. You could contact them for further detail on this specification, as the spec might only...

Hi JeffAlex2 , Chris , I can confirm that this is working solution. We have 1280C with 2 Yamaha's TIO stage boxes in our current project. Make sure you have the latest firmware on stage box and you can use Yamaha R-Remote software to control specific functions as gain and power. Channel mapping is done with Dante Controller, in CSD you just use the subscribed channels. Best regards, Kiril

Or build a small network and see if you still experiencing this issue. Do you also experiencing this issue when you use CSR on a wired PC? I hope this will help you...

Hello Luis, Sorry your customer is running into this. You can only factory restore the design through the front panel (which does not work in your case). Network and settings can be factory restored. Please see chapter 5.6 and 7.13 of the Serial Protocol 5.7 which you can find no PRO.BOSE.COM and/or on you pc (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bose\ControlSpace 5.7\help). Arno, to pick up on where we left off... our network team seems to think that since we deploy CS Systems with music streaming constantly over Dante to 3 PM8250 amps and 24 zones, that remote control traffic over the same ethernet connection is not getting priority, therefore lagging. In your response on 1/7 you suggested isolating the two traffic streams. I assume that this is performed in Dante Controller here...attachment Are the rest of the steps for CSD and CS Remote builder documented? ...

Hi Dipi, In most cases, you should be able to overwrite the existing Dante card firmware. You can use fum.exe (in ProgramFiles (x86)\Bose\ControlSpace x.xx\Bin). Make sure to chose DNC-E firmware, and select 'override device matching'. Best regards, ChrisJ-at-Bose

solating Dante and control can be done in Dante Controller: Go to Device Info double click on the Dante device click on the Network Config tab and select Isolated_Networks under Switch Configuration A notification window will pop-up and select Yes Reboot the unit You have to do this for all Dante devices and you have to create 2 networks (Dante / Control) BR Arno
