ESP-00 II loses Dante Routing

RogerT-at-GoWild ·
Hi all, A ProPartner has a project with several ESP-00 II and Dante. Four weeks ago two devices have lost the dante routing. The devices are still visible. He re-upload the configuration and everything was ok. But t he problem occurred again last week. My first guess was that it has to do with a power failure. At least the second time the error occurred after a power failure. From the first time he does not know. Does somebody has any idea ?

Multiple Dante Cards & Endpoints Unreachable

Hi everyone, Hoping that someone can assist with the below. We have a dealer with multiple Dante cards and end-points which have become unreachable on the network. They show up in Dante Controller but with all device info, status, network settings, etc, grayed out or N/A. Unfortunately I cannot verify every detail, as the project site is interstate, however I'll do my best to relay the information. This seems very similar to Moreno's post, however even trying all of the suggestions within...

How to get notification if primary network fail

austin-at-bose ·
Hi all, I have a shopping mall project used ESP1240 w/Dante and 7x PowerMatch w/Dante that all set by redundancy mode. On-site operators asked how to get notifications from ESP or PM if primary network fail. Since on-site operators are unable to recognize which streaming (primary or secondary) is working by sound, they want to be notified(by LED indicators or something) if primary network fail and then could take maintenance action. Thanks in advance. Austin

ESP-880 & Dante

Hi All, I hope someone can help. I have an ESP 880 with a Dante card in it, I'm trying to configure it to do 32x32, however every time I go online CSD changes the unit back to 16x16. Has anyone else experienced this before and if so how did you resolve it? As far as I can tell the firmware etc is all up to date. Thanks for your help.

Processors not showing up in Hardware Manager

Hello, We have a large installation of 16 ESP880s with Dante cards installed at a racetrack. The large amount is needed since each ESP is in a different amp room located around the perimeter of the track All of the Dante Cards show up and have their subscriptions assigned for both the primary and secondary. All is good there. Two of the units are not showing up because there is a issue with the fiber feed to the room that they are working on. However, out of the remaining 14 units, only 10...

Updating Firmware-Where to find the correct file for ESP1240

TechSPCs ·
Hello, I'm new to ControlSpace and am trying to get a system operational. I've been having problems connecting to the 1240 Dante Network card in Controlspace reliably. It says I need a firmware update but when I try to find the correct file it doesn'r seem to be in the Dante Firmware folder. I found a help file PDF link here in the forums but for some reason I don't have access to view the topic. Can anyone advise please? Thanks! -Joe

Just updated the controlspace designer to the latest version as instructed from Dante Controller's new Dante Updater built in feature (they are together now!) But this error keeps popping up in the scan results: [Error 1] ESP-00 II (RTC) "ESP-00 II 1" (192.168.1.77) version: 2 <--- Incompatible firmware. Please upgrade the Dante IOCard firmware to version 8 or newer. You can check the firmware version currently in use by launching IOCardPgm.exe from the bin folder. (see attached photo)...

Hi Amol, In order for the EP22D to have a static IP address now, I assume you were originally seeing it in Dante Controller or ControlSpace Designer. Did the problem happen just after setting the new IP and rebooting the device? Possibilities: -It's sharing the same IP address as another device on the network. Try to isolate it from other network devices or bridged networks. If it becomes visible, change the IP to a unique address. -If it can't be pinged after isolating it from other network...

Mr. ChrisJ, Thank you for your reply. I have already tried this. When I connect that same device to local Network switch then I can control that device on dante controller. But Same device I put on fiber optic network its starts pinging but not visible on dante controller. We are using a network where thousands of DHCP and static devices are connected in a network. I think its a problem of Network only. So now I have decided to separate our Network For Dante Devices only.

Re: How to get notification if primary network fail

Arno-at-Bose ·
Hi Austin, We do not have a mechanisme to report if there is an issue with the primary Dante port when the network mode is set to Redundancy. They could install NetTools . This program will ping with a certain interval and if it cannot ping the device after an amount of pings, it can send an email. So you know if the device is still alive on the network or not. But it doesn't say anything if the audio is still there. If they use an EX-1280C (this is not possible with the ESP00 or ESP FIXED...

Hi JeffAlex2, Normally, Dante audio transmit channels should be able to be routed to any other Dante receiving channels or cards. In some cases it's with minimal to no control (i.e. mic/line level switching). However, on Yamaha's website, they seem to list their stage boxes as compatible only with "Yamaha TF mixers with Dante cards".. So I can't guarantee compatibility with our Dante-enabled products. You could contact them for further detail on this specification, as the spec might only...

Hi JeffAlex2 , Chris , I can confirm that this is working solution. We have 1280C with 2 Yamaha's TIO stage boxes in our current project. Make sure you have the latest firmware on stage box and you can use Yamaha R-Remote software to control specific functions as gain and power. Channel mapping is done with Dante Controller, in CSD you just use the subscribed channels. Best regards, Kiril
