Buzzing from S1 pro connected with the L / L + R output of my Tyros 5 keyboard.

Channel 1 of my S1 pro is connected with the L / L + R output of my Tyros 5 keyboard. When I turn the keyboard on I have a buzz in the Bose which becomes louder as I turn the volume of the Bose up. So when I stop playing you hear an anoying background buzz from the Bose. Before I used an active subwoofer speaker and two satellites from Yamaha and had no background buzz, but the Bose sound is far better.Read More...
OK, I wiil try to use a balanced cable between the L/L+R on the Tyros and the channel 1 or 2 on the Bose pro S1. Cable as shown in this picture and let you know MRead More...

T4S and T8S microphone stand mounts

Speedy
Hi, I have found some awesome mounts for the T4S & T8S. Please see photos. These are "Ram Mounts". They have multiple options for these standard camera type mounts, so check them out. Simply google "Ram Mounts". Edit title: Previously "Mounting" and added tags.| Bose Pro Community AdminRead More...

S1 Pro - Can I bypass the Auto EQ

Any way to bypass the eq changes? I like the eq in the tiltback position. However there are times I need it on a pole, but I prefer the eq I get in the tiltback position. For now, I just elevate the S1 to a table or stool and put it in the tilt back position. There seems to be too much bass when mounted on the pole.... for my current setup. Just wondering.Read More...

S1 Pro system battery not charging

Durnbock
Hi all...new to the forums! So one of my S1 pro batteries was totally dead. I haven't used it for a couple days, so I'm hoping that the switch accidentally got turned on. Anyway, I fast-charged both speakers. The other one charged up and the light went off, but the one that was dead is still flashing after almost 4.5 hours on fast charge. Is this normal? Could this battery be bad?Read More...

L1 Compact Battery Pack - Email Sent To Bose

Dear Bose, Here’s a little background on me with regards to Bose audio products. My name is Nicholas Peper. I'm a professional singer who also plays keyboards and key-bass. I’ve been getting paid to perform since 1965 and I'm now busier than ever. Even at my advanced age of 68 years. I was an early adopter of the L1 Classic. In fact, I bought 2 PAS + 2 B1 Subs at Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, CA the night that Bose did the first product launch and demo. I sold one of those...Read More...
I was afraid that the L1M2 would be a bit too much for the Coolis. Thanks for trying it out and letting us know. Regardless, knowing about the Coolis does open up some more options for us such as powering a small mixer with my S1.Read More...

S1 Pro as a Monitor w/Model 2 or Compact?

Matt Wahl
Hi Bose Friends! I'm back on the road for a few weeks touring in WI and MI and I am pondering an S1 Pro. I'm a LONG time L1 user going back to January of 2005 but I don't play all that much any more. I'm mostly a stay-at-home dad with periodic musical road trips. A few years ago I abandoned all of my Bose gear! I kept getting stuck in small corners, under low tents or gazebos and I was noticing some hearing damage from putting my L1 systems behind me and going with the "you hear what the...Read More...
Thanks guys! I'll try to take some pictures when I'm back there again tonight. (And then ask how to post pictures!) It's a great spot but one of the more challenging places I play from a logistical standpoint. Not having to rely on the L1 Model 2 as my monitor makes what was challenging, much easier and as a result, much more enjoyable. MattRead More...

L1 Model II top array leans forward

Hi there! I recently bought a lightly used L1 Model II, which sounds fine but the top array leans slightly but noticeably forward, when viewed from the side. The lean is similar to the one shown in the attached photo when another user encountered the same problem (but I repeat, that's not my unit). I understand that when the Model II has a problem, this is one of them. I'm going to call Bose but I want to get a head start here, since none of the threads that I found specify a possible...Read More...
@Chriscom I’m so glad to hear Bose is taking good care of you. I’m not surprised, though, as I’ve had similar great experiences with Bose support as well. It’s just so refreshing to hear companies like Bose being so customer focused. I know Bose equipment isn’t the cheapest out there, but they certainly are first class in their customer treatment which makes it all worthwhile from my perspective.Read More...

New Bose Tonematch T8s - Reverb Issues

I have just bought a Bose T8s Mixer to replace the existing 4 Bose Tonematch mixers. All Firmware updates have been completed. I find the Reverb is not the same or as effective as the original Bose T1 Tonematch mixers and there has been much discussion on this topic here. I understand that again through the discussions that there is going to be a firmware update soon to fix this problem. Can you please provide a timeline? I would like to sell my 4 existing Bose Tonematch mixers but not until...Read More...

master out problems! not enough volume to house & half of house no sound

Hi, I'm new here so please pardon my ignorance if this question has been answered already. I am using the Master Out to connect to my gig site's dual RCA inputs. I am using a 1/4" balanced to dual RCA cable. I am using the Pre-Master setting in preferences to send the signal to the house speaker system and use the master volume on the L1 for my monitor. Dual RCA inputs are the only connection option I have at this site. I connect to an outdoor post with this type connection only. It feeds...Read More...

Using S1 as a floor monitor w/drum machine

Hi, I am using an L1 model 2 as our main PA for a guitar duo. Due to limited space at most of our gigs, we cannot always put the L1 behind us. I am hoping to use the S1 as a floor monitor, and put the L1 up in front of us. We also use a drum machine, and wanted to make sure that the S1 will be able to handle the lower frequencies of the drum machine. We don't play at extremely high volumes, so I am thinking it will ok. I just wanted to get some opinions before purchasing the S1. Thanks.Read More...

Hi jamesh, Thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, please use the T1 icon for the ToneMatch mixer, and the green or orange numbers numbers for the channels 1-8 and 9/10. There's a generic icon for a PC that can represent an iPad or Surface. STRead More...

Aux out for monitor

Speedy
I am trying to achieve the following: 1. Have channels 1-3 sent to AUX 2 to connect to an S1 as a floor monitor. Done. 2. Have the monitor mix mirror the main mix. Done. (Tapped in at post fader). 3. Have both the overall volumes from the main and monitor adjust together with the main volume control. Can this be done? connecting the tonematch to powered speakers thru a non powered mixer

I am looking to connect my bose L1 with tonematch into a non powered mixer, and route the single from this mixer to powered speakers and I am getting some muffled sounds on the high ends?? I want to be able to send the outputs from my bose to an 8 channel non-powered mixer to gain additional channels and run more speakers for larger venues outside. I do a duo act, and just looking to add more volume for outside gigs, AND gain a few more channels to be able to mix the sound better....any help...Read More...
Not sure I have the question right but I frequently run the T-1 out to a Zoom H4 Portable Studio to separately record the 4 T-1 channels, which is the same concept? We run from the channel 1,2,3 outputs to 3 separate channels in the Zoom. Since there is no channel 4 out we route channel 4 only to Aux Out, to the 4th Zoom input. We then have 4 tracks going out. I also run the master out directly to powered speakers when I need to extend our range post mixed, but it sounds like you want more ...Read More...

L1's As Monitors

Hi RS, If you Behringer mixer has a monitor or aux send, then create you monitor mix and send that to the L1 systems. Then send the main mix to the F1 Model 812 systems. If the Behringer mixer does not have monitor or aux send, then you can connect the mixer main outputs to the F1 Model 812 systems. Then run a line out from each F1 Model 812 to the L1 systems. You can daisy chain from the F1 Model 812 systems to the L1 systems, but not the other way around. STRead More...

"Corrupted" Audio when connecting from iPad to T8S over USB

I regularly use the USB audio on the T1 to play backing tracks onto the L1 Model 1S. At times the audio would start to corrupt, but that was infrequent and easily fixed by unplugging and reinserting the USB or turning off the T1 and turning it back on. The T8S has a greater tendency to do this and I do not want to be forced to use an audio feed vs. the USB. Are you familiar with this issue and do you have any suggestions on how to work around it? Thanks..Read More...

How can I get my voice in a Karaoke mix

I am using the S1 Pro for Karaoke. I am doing the backing with phone Bluetooth and am using a Beta 58a mic. I can't get my voice in the mix. It seems my voice is out in left field or someplace else. Please give me some techniques to better blend with the recordings. Incidentally this problem is not unique to the S1 Pro. I have the same problem with the L1 and other systems.Read More...
I rarely use effects of any kind with my vocals. ST's advice is good, on the reverb. My vocals have been described to be the same as Johnny Cash, Don Ho and Mike Pinera. All the above added to my account in volume, being retired from the USMC. Try a variety of microphones to find what goes well with your voice. The Shure Beta 58 is a great microphone, but their may be other makes and models that pull your voice through. I do not like "eating the mic", so most Shure products don't work well...Read More...

Help me choose? (Set B1's or B2)

Hello Everyone, So I've read a bunch of posts about this exact topic and it seems the info is different on every post. I'm curious on anyone who has had recent experience with this. I'm currently burrowing an L1 Model 2 from a friend that has the B2. I thought these systems were gimmicks until I started to use one. My band and I absolutely love it. Played an outdoor BBQ last weekend and it was brilliant, especially when it came to packing up at the end of the night :) I just found a pretty...Read More...
I've used both. I prefer 2 B1s for ease of carrying and it's usually just about the right amount of bass for the acoustic guitar based music I play. No drums and not a lot of bass needed. However, in some situations it was not enough bass - I experimented with adding an F1 for some bottom and that helped. My band also plays a venue through an L1 M1s with a B2 and it's WAY TOO MUCH BASS ALWAYS. Difficulty in feedback control and headaches are the result... Now if you're a DJ, want to thump...Read More...
