Hello, i want to record with my t1 with the computer and audicity.

Windows 10 could not load the driver for the t1. Record is only with the intern micro of the computer possible. The connection t1 to computer with usb does not work!

What ist to do?

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.  Welcome.

I'm sorry you are having trouble with the USB to PC connection from the T1 to the Windows 10 computer.

The T1 relies on the native Windows 10 drivers. There is no Bose specific driver.

Please check:

  • Connect from the T1 directly to the PC
    • Do not connect through a USB Hub
  • Try a different USB cable
  • Try a different USB port on the computer
  • Disconnect the USB cable from the computer
    • Reboot the computer
    • Wait until it is fully booted
    • Turn on the T1
    • Connect the USB cable


What version level is your T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine? (T1® for short)

  1. Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs


  2. Press the first button


  3. Turn the first button until you see Versions
  4. Press the button


  5. The versions for the firmware will be displayed. The versions shown below are sample values.

Right now the latest T1® firmware is 1.8.

Hi Christoph,

If the USB is working, check the Windows Notification area (bottom right of your screen).

Click the Speaker icon.

You should see Speakers (Bose USB Audio). If you choose that, sound from the computer will be directed to the T1.

In Audacity, click the list beside the Microphone icon

When you select Line (Bose USB Audio), then Audacity will use the T1 as the audio source.
