Discussions about the Bose S1 Pro system

Bose S1 Pro

Designed for musicians, DJs and general PA use, the S1 Pro is the ultimate all-in-one PA, floor monitor and practice amplifier that's ready to be your go-anywhere Bluetooth music system for nearly any occasion.

This is the place to discuss the S1 Pro system.

IMG_1498Got  thinking -- what could I do with an extra A1 and pair of B1's?

How 'bout adding more bass to the S1 Pro?

It worked as far blinking lights, but the B1s had very little volume. I don't recommend it this combination.

Hey Jim,

Did you find a solution for this setup?

I have the same set, only with 1 B1 subwoofer, but results are not good, also with the Rolls SX21 i get very bad sound, the subwoofer does not sound loud or punchy..?

@ST, is there allready a solution on its way for some more low end? (Portable)

Bose doesn't comment on products that may be in development. However, they are always working on something.

Ok ST, understand the comment.

Offcourse i`m only talking about my use-case and that`s maybe not the main goal of Bose, they should make a good product market combination.

We use the Bose S1 at race events in the paddock, everybody really enjoys the quality of the speaker, i have 2 S1 PRO`s connected with the bose app in bluetooth mode using spotify.

It would be great to make a new firmware including app, were we could still connect the 2 Bose S1 Pro speakers over bluetooth, next to that, it would be great to have a setting in the app were if switched on, 1 of the S1 PRO speakers line out only sends signals bellow 150Hz (the S1 speakers only get signals above 150Hz), one S1 line out could then be plugged in a A1 Packlite with a 1 or 2 B1 subs. The gain slider will make it possible to set the balance between S1`s and Sub. In the new firmware maybe the same EQ settings of the line out can be programmed that make sure the B1 sound great..!!

To me it`s sounds as a great plan..!!

Best regards,

Roy

That's a great suggestion. Please consider adding your idea to the discussion linked below.

S1 Pro system: Feature Requests and Suggestions

Thanks,

ST

For my use, the S1 Pro seems to have plenty of bass but I'm seeing others adding subs or wishing for a Bose bass option compatible with the S1 Pro.

As discussed here, when using a mixer prior to the S1, you set the ToneMatch OFF, Reverb OFF BASS & TREBLE at 12:00 (essentially off), and Volume at 10:00.

I'm wondering, if you turned the bass up on whichever input channel you have the mix on, would that give sufficient bass?  I know that when I bluetooth music to the S!, the bass is booming.  I may have missed a post where someone tried this already...anyone?
