I know Bose has a (or use to) have a trade in policy on their 901's... send in your old ones for a credit towards new 901's...would Bose honor musicians who have older 802 Series I and II's or any other Bose portable products for credit towards a PAS system?

Hi Rudie737

We are currently looking into offering our customers a trade-in program for obsolete equipment - not just Bose equipment.

We're still working on it so it will more than likely be at least a couple of more months before we have a program available if the decision is made to move forward. We'll post it here first if and when it launches.
Angela,

That sounds like an awesome idea, looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with.

Robert L,

Bose has offered a "tradeup" for their home lifestyle systems a ways back from Pro Logic to Digital by switching out the bass modules for an added cost.

Rock On!

Angela,
One of the guys in my band brought somthing up to me today. We bought 3 systems, (well at least for the 45 day trial) he's worried that the second the 45 day trial period is over, and the things are ours, You're gonna come out with a more powerful amp, or some onboard mixer, or somthing to improve the (already great) system.

What do ya think the chances are of a second generation PAS coming out anytime soon?

Thanks
Charlie

Hi Charlielo,

How sweet!

As a rule, we do not discuss future product development plans. I'm confident that the reasons are obvious.

At the same time, I think you can ask your bandmate to reflect on the lifespan of Bose products and realize that unlike the consumer electronics industry as a whole, we are completely at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Please tell your bandmate thank for asking this delicate question. Most wouldn't and yet many probably ask it to themselves and friends.
...and when I traded my old Bose stuff in at GC the manager said " OH WOW, I can turn those around this week no problem" .. mine were 11 years old at least - still no hiss, buzz or problems of any kind.
and the % of original cost was a boat load higher than I got for the Peavy stuff thatzfersure. Wink

Hi Angela. I just ran across this thread and was wandering if any decisions were ever made regarding a trade-in program?
I have one PAS and, if trade-ins are an option, wouldn't mind having a second one!
Thanks,
Jeffrey
Hey! You're not Angela! Big Grin
Yea, I've sold quite a few pieces on Ebay, too. Problem is that what I have left is way too big for normal shipping. So, once someone figured in frieght costs, I might not get much for my stuff.
I traded 2 Mackie 1530 powered mains and 2 Mackie 1500 powered subs at GC towards my PAS. So, maybe I could work another deal with them... Razz
Thanks for answering so fast.
Jeffrey
For what it's worth...
My local GC gave me an unbelievable trade in on my Fender Acoustasonic Amp [$130 less than what I paid for it 5 years earlier] when I bought my P.A.S. a year ago. Go talk to your local store and see what happens.
You might be surprised.
