L1 Model II

Let's talk about the L1® Portable Line Array Systems

Using proprietary Bose® technology, L1 systems combine  PA and monitors into a single, highly portable unit. The  loudspeaker can be positioned behind or to the side —and you hear what the audience hears.

Highly portable PA and monitor combined for solo performers, DJs and general-purpose use. Fixed vertical control with 180° horizontal coverage Reduced vulnerability to feedback.

Three systems to choose from (Compact, Model 1S, Model II)
Two passive bass module options (B1 or B2)
Consistent coverage and tonal balance, portability and easy setup.

I'm new to the forum and L1 products.  I need a speaker system that allows me to use my home stereo amplifier with CD and Karaoke components, video to TV, to include acoustic/electric guitar and vocals.  Can  anyone help me match the correct Bose L1 system?  Use would be in the home and on the deck for outside entertainment.

Thanks - Dan

It's easy to connect your home stereo amplifier or Karaoke components or TV (if it has RCA outputs) to

  • S1 Pro system
    or
  • L1 Compact

to include acoustic/electric guitar and vocals.

With either the S1 Pro or L1 Compact you can also add up to

  • One microphone
  • One instrument (e.g., electric guitar)

Which one: S1 Pro or L1 Compact. That will depend on the size of your room inside and the deck outside, and the style of music you're playing.

If you want to run more than one source at a time (stereo, TV, Karaoke) or two or more vocal microphones you will want a T4S or T8S ToneMatch mixer.  The choice will depend on the total number of inputs you will be running at the same time.

Do you want to hear the music sources (stereo, TV, Karaoke) in stereo?  If so, you'll need two S1 Pro systems or two L1 Compact systems.

If you'd like to run on built-in rechargeable batteries, then you should get one or two S1 Pro systems. With two S1 Pro systems you can run in stereo and support up to four inputs (any combination of microphones and guitars).

Does that help?

Hi, Dan;

We'd like to help. Please give us some more information.

How large is the room where you will set things up?

How many people does the room hold?

How large is the dock outside?

What style of music are you playing for Karaoke?

How many people will you be entertaining outside?

What devices will you have connected to the system (CD, stereo, TV, Karaoke machine)?

What kind of Karaoke machine do you have? Please give us a link to the owner's guide.

Will you be running in stereo (needing two loudspeakers)?

How many people will be singing at the same time (how many microphones)?

Will you need to run on batteries or will you have AC power available?

Thanks,

ST
