I cobbled together some bits and pieces and came up with this arrangement for the T8S ToneMatch mixer on a microphone stand.

I wasn't happy with having the T8S attached to a bar extending out from the microphone stand. All the bars and extensions and tables drooped or sagged. So I put the T8S directly on the stand, and microphone on an extension.

I'm thinking out loud as I explore these ideas. I'm not ready to recommend this approach yet. I may end up putting the T8S on small table or tripod. It depends on how I feel when I get the T8S all loaded up with connections.

More pictures to come.

Without the T8S you can see the quick release - that part you attach to the microphone stand.

Here are the two pieces.

The part on the right attaches to the T8S.

Here's the stock photo.

Without the quick release you can see the 5/8" to 1/4" adapter.

The 1/4" post was a little too long to work with the quick release so I used a washer from a rack mount screw.

Here's a shorter one that should work equally well.

Hi DrumrPete,

I tried one of these.

It seems ok with the 2 pound T4S. I was less happy with it with the 4 pound T8S.

The top part swivelled around and came apart.

I returned that one.

What concerned me most though, was if the bottom adustment wasn't tight enough, the weight of the T4S or T8S could pull the unit off-level and it would swing down. That's scary - to see the unit swing down. It might not go very far, or it could pull down the microphone stand.  That's why I started looking at options to put the weigh of the T4S or T8S level, and directly over the microphone stand.

Here you can see how I (guitarplayer) hold my T4S and also my T8S.

It is on top of a guitarstand that holds 3 guitars.
2 slots are for the guitar and the 3rd slot is to hold all the cables from the mixer. The fixed cables hold the mixer in this position.

Thanks, @Juergen ... I have a similar guitar stand and would love to explore this mount. Is it possible to explain how exactly the T8 is mounted/attached to the guitar stand?

Cheers,

Hi troubador. I do not mount or attache the T8 with the guitar stand. I just put it on top, put all the cables into one of the 3 headpockets and that is it.
I put some rubber on the 3 vertical metal pieces that the T8 is not sliding. Very easy, super quick setup. Just try it.
I will provide more photos when I am back home next weeks. So long.
