L1 Model II

Let's talk about the L1® Portable Line Array Systems

Using proprietary Bose® technology, L1 systems combine  PA and monitors into a single, highly portable unit. The  loudspeaker can be positioned behind or to the side —and you hear what the audience hears.

Highly portable PA and monitor combined for solo performers, DJs and general-purpose use. Fixed vertical control with 180° horizontal coverage Reduced vulnerability to feedback.

Three systems to choose from (Compact, Model 1S, Model II)
Two passive bass module options (B1 or B2)
Consistent coverage and tonal balance, portability and easy setup.

Hi AndyK, I agree totally with the last couple of posts. As a T1 owner for 6 years I have watched this thread and forum with interest waiting for the next big T1 innovation. Unfortunately it seems there's not a lot happening in this area for some time. A teaser for your many loyal customers if something new is coming or a comment on a good idea would be welcome.

I have a question whether stereo capability with the current T1 is technically possible via a firmware update? I'm not asking whether it's in development by Bose or likely but whether it is theoretically possible. i.e. A setting that would split stereo channels to the main and aux outputs. It's the second most popular feature in your poll so your customers obviously have a need for it. This would be particularly useful when performing with two L1 systems.

The T1 is such a great product I would consider purchasing a new, improved T2(?) model but somehow don't expect it's coming anytime soon.

I don't have any insight into a possible firmware update but there is a way to route stereo left and right signals through a T1® using the Main and Aux outputs.

Here's an article.

T1 ToneMatch® audio engine to two L1®s

Thanks ST,

Unfortunarely I don't have a spare input. More channels is first on my wishlist. I get the intended design principles for the L1 and T1 but I think users have taken them well beyond their intended use.

I'm simply adding a voice to those here that some feedback from Bose to this ongoing thread would be nice.

Cheers

... Apparently, when uploading a bank of presets I can only do it with presets from one manufacturer? I could well imagine that many users out there would welcome the possibility of being able to pick and choose what they want to put in the Bank they're going to upload. I know that I've got guitars from several different manufacturers for example (not all are covered, but you can't have everything. So it would be nice to e.g. mix presets into one bank, such as a Breedlove, a Hummingbird, a Taylor an LR Baggs Pick-up etc. These are only examples, so please don't say that they're in the original Preset list or whatever. I would have thought that a firmware update could improve this situation. What does anyone else think about this?

Tony
