I am experiencing frequent static when touching the strings of my guitar.  If not touching strings there is no static.  I was wondering if it could be static electricity from my body but other suggestions would be appreciated. The static sounds much the same as you hear from static electricity when touching something.  Any suggestions for resolution (other than "don't touch the guitar")?

Hi, TB.

It sounds like there is a ground problem with the pickup system in the guitar.

What kind of guitar is it: Make/Model?

Since this does not sound like a Bose specific issue, may I move your post to the general discussion area where other community members can reply?
