Discussions about the Bose S1 Pro system

Bose S1 Pro

Designed for musicians, DJs and general PA use, the S1 Pro is the ultimate all-in-one PA, floor monitor and practice amplifier that's ready to be your go-anywhere Bluetooth music system for nearly any occasion.

This is the place to discuss the S1 Pro system.

To our valued Bose S1 Pro system customers.

Since the introduction of the S1 Pro multi-position PA system four months ago we heard from you, our customers, on how the S1 Pro was meant to be portable, and truly portable by today's standards is equivalent to "without AC power".  For this reason we made a change to the S1 Pro product.  Starting today (May 10, 2018), the S1 Pro now ships standard with the S1 Battery Pack included and pre-installed.  We heard your feedback and are thrilled to make this change.

Now, we appreciate our early adopters and understand that you are probably wondering, "what about my earlier purchase?".  We are pleased to offer owners of S1 Pro systems purchased May 9, 2018 and earlier, a complimentary S1 Pro Backpack ($149 US value).  We engineered this durable bag so you can carry your Bose S1 Pro System hands-free. Three zippered compartments allow you to store cables and other items safely, while the adjustable shoulder straps, molded foam back panel and convenient handles allow you to carry your S1 Pro System comfortably anywhere you travel.

To redeem your offer, visit https://bosebackpack.com/ and complete the form. You’ll need the serial number from the bottom of your S1 Pro System.

Serial numbers are 17-characters (numbers and letters). Here is a picture of the label on the bottom of an S1 Pro where you will find your serial number.

The serial number found in the Bose Connect App or through the Bose Updater site (http://btu.bose.com) are not valid for this offer.

If you encounter any issues when entering your serial number, please double check the number, and ensure you are entering the number from the bottom of the product. If you still continue to experience issues, please give a call to your regional support group so they can assist. If you are in North America, the number is 877-335-2673.

If you are not in North America, please follow this link to Bose product support for your area.

I can’t express how happy this makes me! I’ve been wanting the backpacks since day 1 and dreaded what the cost would be. My prediction was right at $150. I haven’t been able to have 100% of my system during my sessions due to too many trips back and forth but that will be solved soon!

Hi ,I wonder Bose offer a choice of free battery pack or backpack, because bose itself come with a sleeve covered already, thats would be nice. Just a thought tho 🤔

If you buy a S1 Pro as of now the battery is shipped “free”. If you have the opportunity to get the backpack free, please do so, the sleeve only protects against dust really

This is a bit confusing.  There are no purchase date limits on the bose backpack.com page for purchasing the S1.  So, if I purchase an S1 today and get the free battery (which is not something I necessarily need), do I also get the free backpack?  Because that's what it looks like.  I was able to complete the form with today's date but obviously wouldn't be able to enter a serial number until the S1 arrives.

Please clarify.

Thanks

Hi David,

The free backpack offer is for owners of S1 Pro Systems purchased May 9, 2018, or prior.

We'll determine whether or not you qualify for the free backpack by the serial number of your S1 Pro.

Even if you don't think you'll use the battery, if you're eyeing the backpack, you will be glad you the battery is included with units available now.

Thanks for asking.

ST

If that's accurate, Bose should make it clear on the page with the above link since those of us who would order online can't fill out the form until the S1 arrives and wouldn't know that one with the free battery is not eligible for the free backpack.  The Bose page simply doesn't say that.

Thanks David,

I'll send your comments through to our communications team.

The free backpack offer is for owners of S1 Pro systems purchased May 9, 2018 and earlier. Those systems did not include the battery.

I bought my S1 Pro + battery on March 22nd, 2018 and just applied to get my backpack.  Can't wait to get it.  LOVE my S1 Pro.  The mixer in it is super!!Use the Line out to connect to a 200 watt powered sub then crossovered to another 2-way 260 watts speaker which I call my tower-of-power and these have NEVER sounded better.   I'm seriously thinking of replacing my T-o-Power by the L1 model 1S with a B1 Bass...using the mixer on the S1Pro.  What do YOU think?

Oohhhh what a unique situation. I don’t know where you purchased your S1s from but I got mine from Sweetwater. My sales rep actually contacted me about this whole thing. If you got yours directly from Bose, I’m sure bose’ Customer support will help you out with showing proof of purchases. As stated throughout this forum, bosebackpack is pretty vague. I wish Bose would give us approval emails from our claims and maybe even tracking info when they actually ship.

I just finished submitting for my backpack and want to give all at Bose Pro Audio a warm thank you, as you did not have to do this. For those wanting to get both, now, consider this. I just looked at my account I used to buy the Bose S1 Pro and the separate battery and the total was $752 and change for both including sales tax. The battery is now included in the $599 price of the Bose S1 Pro. When I purchase my 2ND Bose S1 Pro, I will also purchase the backpack for it.

Now that the Bose S1 Pro includes the lithium ion battery at a mere $99 bucks, there is no better bargain available anywhere for this sound quality. Period.

Good point.  But of course the next paragraph says, "Claim status inquiries may be sent to Bose by email...", so I guess if you really have concerns you could contact them after a few days. As for myself, I'm confident in my purchase date and serial number so I don't expect any issues with my claim approval.

GREAT news ST, thanks for sharing - GO BOSE!!

Your email was a conformation email indicating the process of the form was submitted  and received successfully.  They may know the serials by computer speed another words if the serials do not match those sold within that date time May 9 2018, it might be kicked out. Then there is the possibility the serial item was issued at specific times before May 9th but not sold within that time period, still in store inventory, those would not have a battery in it. Now I would suspect that Bose would send to those stores the batteries directly for their stock inventory to be included to  those serial purchases. Oh maybe Bose has no clue if you received a battery or not after the May 9th date, and asks that the stores be responsible for supplying the batteries.

Quick question, I also got my S1 thru Sweetwater. And got the call from them and I have gotten confirmation as well that my order has gone thru. So big thank you from me to those at Bose. One question though, dose the back pack also come with a shoulder strap or just the back pack straps. I have a 45 dollar bag still on its way for the S1 lol,m but it has a shoulder strap. Either way I'm quite happy, just wanting to know for my own knowledge. )

I can confirm that (stores have ancient inventory and will not send the unit with battery).

So I wonder why Thomann just increased the S1 Pro's price from €599 to €655!!!  And they are sending the ancient inventory... So, price increased, but no battery included.

Anyway, note that they should not even increase the price...!

Yes, and I don't think it is fair.

2 days ago you could buy the S1 Pro for €599 (without battery). Today you can only buy it for €655 (without battery!).

If you want the unit with battery, you'll have to wait until their stock (without battery) ends. Then they will start sending the S1 Pro with the included battery. But... as you can imagine, they will probably sell it for €655, instead of €599. (that is, if they don't increase the price again...).

Hi Dooer,

Please visit https://bosebackpack.com/ and complete the form for each S1 Pro. You’ll need the serial numbers from your S1 Pro Systems.

You should get an email confirmation for each claim. If you have any questions after that please reply to the email from Bose.

Thanks,

I seemed to have gotten some flack for mentioning a CERTAIN company more then once. I don't put up stores that treat me as a customer poorly. Usually stores are willing to work with their customers. The only stores or equipment I recommend are the ones I have worked with and treat me nicely. So I say to you if your store is not treating you well don't patronize them. One of the things that bring me back is the way the company treats you. Like Bose who had made decisions and offer us who bought a S1 pro before the new deal to get a free pack pack. That is a smart relationship building expression to their customers.

Just for the record if I mention a store that is because they have a very good customer service and back their sales. If I mention equipment then realize I am always on the look out for equipment that works and is smart. I am not afraid to mention my equipment and the pros and cons of it. I also try very hard to purchase locally, so my inclination is to recommend a good seller in the mid-west, there are tons of great sellers out there but I have not had the experience with them, so can not candidly endorse them.

ST, can you clarify a couple of points for me?

First, I realize we are talking about S1 Pros bought before May 9, 2018.

-- Does the free backpack deal apply to an S1 Pro bought used or second-hand if I have the actual original purchase date (by the original purchaser) and the serial number?

-- Does the deal apply to an S1 Pro bought before May 9 -- even if you didn't buy a battery pack?

Thanks!

I've been following the S1 opinions and forums since April, when I found this unit at a venue.

So I pretty much know every price at every store since April, as I wanted (note: "wantED") to buy two of these units in the end of this month. I can tell you that store is not the only one playing with prices increase...

Thomann is not the only one to act like that.  The well known Gear4music, increased the S1 price this week from £529 to £600! Or, ir you think $, from $712 to $807!!! Or in €, from €600 to €680!

So... I'll never buy the 2 units I wanted to buy.

Lucky those who live in the USA. I wish I lived there.

Thanks ST for your quick response.  I kinda figured it didn't matter if you bought a battery or not to get the backpack deal, but I thought I'd ask for others who might be wondering.

I would suspect that the serial number is the determining factor. So if you purchased second hand and the original owner had previously reg. the product there might be issues. Name not matching Reg.info.

I have not at this point received any information on the claim thus far other then conformation that the claim was received.  So don't know if they are shipping as of yet. Any out there heard about the shipping?

Sounds like the over seas folks are getting hit on prices. There may be a reason for it, but really find a store in your area that treats you well and will work with you. That is the best recourse you can do. Another words don't patronize stores you feel are taking advantage of you.

And just to be clear -- I'm super happy I'll be getting a backpack for the unit I bought new last month.  It's just recently I happened upon a used one for a good price; I wanted to have two, and since it was also initially purchased by the original owner in April, I figured I might as well see if I can get a backpack for it as well.  If it happens -- cool. If not, I'll still be psyched that I have two S1 Pros!

Somehow this kind'a reminds me of the old joke: How do you get a musician to complain?  Answer: Give him a gig.

Hi Guys,

You May want to follow up on your claim.  I submitted mine, got the same email reply “your claim was successfully submitted.  Once approved, you will receive your gift in 8-12 weeks”.   I never received the approval, so I sent an email to support.   Support said they could not find my submitted claim and I should call Specialty Sales.  I called Specialty Sales and she said I had to resubmit my claim.  I did resubmit and it said, “your claim has already been submitted”?

When I find the answer to this, I will let everyone know.  I think I have been through 3 different departments as they pass me along.  Trying to keep a positive attitude going forward, but just a little frustrated.  I appreciate Bose offering this and was excited to soon receive it.  Now at a minimum, looks like my 8-12 weeks has not even began.

It takes 8-12 weeks to process and deliver the backpacks which is why Bose Specialty Sales was unable to locate an associated order transaction yet.

Hi, I purchased my S1 pro here in Sydney, Australia on June 7, 2018. I paid extra to purchase the battery as it did not come with it.

The online claim form says "Asia Pacific customers: Offer valid on Bose S1 System purchases made between January 1, 2018 – July 1, 2018."

However Australia is not on the drop-down list of Countries. Is there any other way to claim this offer?

Hi Joemar,

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community. I'm sorry you can't pick Australia for your country in the form. Please give me a few business days to look into this for you,

Thank you,

ST

Hi Joemar,

The offer for the free backpack starts on July 2nd, 2018 in Australia and applies to units purchased before then.

"Asia Pacific customers: Offer valid on Bose S1 System purchases made between January 1, 2018 – July 1, 2018. "

Australia and other Asia Pacific countries will be available in the Country drop-down list on July 2nd.

You will be able to fill in the form then.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

We've had a few people tell us that their serial number is being rejected in the form at http://bosebackpack.com.

If you have this problem, please try again.

Serial numbers are 17-characters (numbers and letters). Here is a picture of the label on the bottom of an S1 Pro where you will find your serial number.

Note: The serial number found in the Bose Connect App or through the Bose Updater site (http://btu.bose.com) is not valid for this offer.

If you encounter any issues when entering your serial number, please double check the number, and ensure you are entering the number from the bottom of the product. If you still continue to experience issues, please give a call to your regional support group so they can assist. If you are in North America, the number is 877-335-2673.

Hi saxman,

saxman posted:

I am looking at purchasing a S1 after reading all the reviews why is that I cannot have a free bag?

The explanation is in the announcement here:

S1 Pro Battery included and S1 Pro Backpack for early adopters. May 10 2018

In the UK and the Americas:

Customers who purchased the S1 Pro before May 10th, 2018 received the unit, a power cord, and a simple slip cover. They had to pay extra for the optional rechargeable battery. Those customers qualify for the free backpack offer.

The S1 Pro you get today comes with the rechargeable battery included. The backpack and slip cover are both optional accessories.

I emailed Support to ask, but got this reply:

The S1 Pro is being handled by a special group, and it would be best if you get in touch with our Product and Technical Support Team at (800)-367-4008 during weekdays from 9AM to 9PM EST and during Saturdays from 9AM to 7PM EST for real-time assistance.

So I'm going to try this tomorrow.

I have faith that Bose will come through on this generous offer, and I look forward to the backpack. Love my S1, and everyone I demonstrated it to, wants one too. Used it recently in a parade float to play dance music. Was IDEAL!

Glad to see them finally coming.  It took me working through 6 different people and:

- Product and Technical Support Team (3 people)

- Specialty Sales Team (1 person)

- Pro Portable and Musician Support Group (1 person)

- This forum (ST)

I entered and received my notification on May 11.  Today I finally was contacted that I am now on the list and I will get mine when they start coming in.  I guess they are already coming in and my contact wasn’t aware of that.

ST I do appreciate your help and a guy named Gordon was also a big help.

Rest of you guys owe me and ST a beer for helping clean up the process on how this is been handled.

I see some of you (us) early S1 Pro adopters are starting to get a backpack from the Bose generous backpack offer.  I'm one of the early ones for sure since I bought my first S1 Pro in March but I'm in Canada so I'm figuring (not fair) that I'll get my backpack later.  Anxious to see it 'cause you've notice, I said my "first"...yeah, I got ANOTHER one so now I'll have to buy a matching backpack.  So impressed with this, I gave my whole sound system to my son for HIS band and got an L1-1S with B1 and T1 for myself.  Tried it in public for the 1st time last Thursday and LOVED it.   Any Canadians out there got their BACKPACK yet?!

Welcome to the wonderful world of the L1 and S1 Louis. We’ve been using a L1 since the L1 Classic days. I now have a L1 Mod II with 2 B1s and I’m so spoiled with that system. I’ll never go back to the traditional PA scenario.

I also got a S1 recently and use it for smaller gigs or where the L1 would be overkill. Just a thought to thow out there, I’ve actually used the S1 with the L1 to distribute sound in cases where I was playing outdoors and had folks to the side and even behind me so the L1 wouldn’t reach them very well. I used an aux out from my mixer to the S1 pointed in this other direction to cover that awkward area and it worked wonderfully. So it’s nice  to have both!

Enjoy as the quality of the sound from Bose is just awesome.

My apologies for this late response. I just returned from my 3rd gig, since Friday evening when I arrived to a large box at the top of the driveway to our small farm. I never received an e-mail with tracking, for those that may ask. The box was extremely light and the sender address did not include the word Bose anywhere. Upon opening the box, I knew it was the Bose S1 Pro backpack. It is made with sturdy materials, with ample padding and zippered pockets and storage areas everywhere. These can either be used as backpacks or carry bags with straps on the back and handles on the side. These backpacks are durable, reinforced where they need to be and are representative of Bose's high quality reputation. I will definately purchase another one when I get my second Bose S1 Pro.

Thanks for the pics Ric.  FY allI: I just received UPS notices for my backpacks today. Slated to be delivered tomorrow.  I have two coming; one was claimed May 11 and the other about three weeks later. Nonetheless, it appears I'm getting both at the same time.  Keep you informed when I get them.

Just spoke to Bose Canada. Apparently they will not be shipping again until at least July 5th. (They had become unavailable and were back-ordered from the manufacturer is my guess). I am told that I should receive it sometime in July!

OK great news. Contrary to my previous post concerning Canadian shipment not being until late July I just got the email from UPS that the backpack will be here tomorrow!! I am in Kingston, Ontario Canada -it's right on time as promised 6 weeks. Cheers to Bose eh!

Good on you, eh. I'm in Edmonton and truly hoped to get backpack in advance of Canada Day Weekend. Taking the S1 to a family reunion, and those distant relatives could get wild. Phoned today about one of the reverb dials falling off, and the dial will likely arrive sooner.

I got mine too.  It's nicely built.  Has nice padding and quality straps.  Is a little heavy and uncomfortable on the back even when adjusted properly, but I'll give it a try.  Zippers on top storage compartment are inside, so they rest on top of the S1 and have to be tucked in somehow to close the outside zipper - strange they didn't put them on the outside too or on top?

Very happy for the ones that received their early-adopters backpacks, especially the Canadians, but I haven't received ANYTHING yet, from Bose UPS nor Canada Post but I'm in New Brunswick...a small forgotten province next to Maine.  I can wait though since I got 2 ARRIBA padded cases for my two S1's in the meantime...but still would prefer backpacks with Bose on them.

Ha New Brunswick is not 'forgotten'!  Always love the beautiful vistas, driving though there on way to relatives in Nova Scotia.  In September we will be 'Artists on Board' (Accordion/Vocal duo + Bose S1 + Backpack.  www.eurocafeduo.com), on the VIA Rail train from Montreal to Halifax, so looking forward to seeing NB on the way and on the return.

I registered for my pack on May 11 and it just arrived today. It's great.

Artists on Board - that is very cool. Lucky you. Been dreaming of doing that sometime. Enjoy the ride!

And you cover La Vie en Rose - superb!!

I just received my 2 S1 Pro backpacks today and I’m impressed. I never received any other notifications other than the initial acknowledgement when I submitted my claims and here they are. Very nice construction and I can see my using them to carry the S1 in.

i continue to be impressed by Bose products and their sensitivity to their customers. Providing a free backpack is going thee extra mile. BTW, I just picked up a Bose Revolve+ and it actially pairs with the S1 Pro using the Connect App

Got mine too.  Great product.  Thanks Bose and thanks for all your help ST!  Very happy with it.  Holds all my stuff.  Heavy once I load it down but seems well made and I should never have any issues.  My favorite part is the extended zipper pulls that open the main compartment.  Very cool.

Today I am happy to announce that the UPS notice and delivery of the backpack was fulfilled. I live in the Mid West, WI. Thank you Bose these little things build confidence and loyalty with your company, that being said YEA!

The back back is nicely made, impressive at that, shamming me at my critical first impressions. So I boldly apologize to Bose for my critical nature of this bag and am humbled by the customer service and perks offered to Bose owners. I have learned to love and enjoy this small amp not for volume, output, or fill but for it's clean, quiet nature, and it's build of a solid, quality materials. I beleive S1 was not meant for singer song writers directly but more for a monitor situation but my needs were taken care of by adding a volume pedal, para eq. along with a mic pre.  I am actually considering a second and that says a lot coming from me. Well done Bose!

It arrived!!! It arrived!!! It arrived!!! On the day Bose support phoned me to see if everything was okay with the entering of my serial number in the webform! HAHAHA! But still, excellent customer service and follow up.

Great perk! Quality products! And a happy happy customer! Thanks Bose!

I received an email from UPS...Those who haven't, probably don't have a free UPS MyChoice account. I do, and I get an email whenever they have a package scheduled for my address, even if it's for my wife.

The backpack arrived today, and it looks great. I haven't had a chance to put the S1 Pro in it yet, probably tomorrow.

It's so rare these days to receive something that far exceeds my expectations....and such is the case with having received the S1 Pro Backpack yesterday.   First being in how fast it arrived after submitting the form.  Far from the 8-12 weeks I was expecting.

But the quality is absolutely SUPERB down to the finest details.  Padding is quite sufficient and that the storage in the top is larger than I thought it would be is a real plus.   Little side pockets and the quality of the outside, especially where the pack meets the carrier's back is just outstanding.  They didn't cut corners with either materials, detail, or appearance at all.  Well, well done!  I'm glad I didn't purchase an alternative.   You guys wouldn't want to make me one for my Boss RC300 looper would you?  LOL!    Great product Bose and as always....Great Service!

With that said....(here comes the critical thought).....I am one who definitely wanted the Bose Brand backpack.  I had already trusted it's quality from the cases provided with the L1 Model II...so I was already a customer.  I knew it wouldn't be chintzy or cheaply made.    And the corporate choice to sell the S1 and include the battery at the same cost was a wise choice for sure.  And while you can't please the whole Universe....I thought of how someone would feel if they did NOT want the backpack....but had paid an extra $99 bucks to get the battery.  Nobody, personally or business wise wants to withdraw money they already have in their accounts.....but it is my opinion they should have offered an either/or situation.  Take the backpack ($150 worth) or take a refund of the $99 you paid extra.   Of course I realize there are dealers/resellers involved, but it's still just an opinion.  Customers love choices....but then customers love Bose too.

But THAT said....the backpack is a very, very sound investment for the S1 Pro regardless.  I would have said "ouch!", but would have also paid the $150 for such a good quality product that will be in and out of many, many venues and locations until I am just too danged old to carry it.  Anyone who does make the purchase will not be sorry.....you'll be out $150 big ones....but you won't be sorry...it's a very well, well, made and attractive product.

Bose gets a big standing ovation and BRAVO from this musician.

Speaking of dust covers, it's good to note that the backpack is large enough to fit the S1 Pro with the dust cover on. This, in case you want to take both the dust cover and the backpack.

I’m glad you mentioned this because that’s the first thing I tried when I got my backpacks and I wasn’t successful. There’s a method to it. I don’t know about you but I have to keep a free hand on a cover to kind of press air out of the backpack for it to fit.

Also since I have OCD, I noticed if you’re not careful and not paying attention there MIGHT be a chance you scuff the top of the s1 with the zipper. I’m not 100% sure but I’d rather play it safe and always use the slip cover & the backpack 😅👍🏽

Hello Dooer.

I'm so glad you have managed to secure one of these ( Early Adopters S1 Pro Back-Packs) they are much more protective of these lovely little mobile units, should keep your looking good. I also have an S1 Pro, and may get another soon, and although the unit itself is remarkable and worth the quite hefty price tag, I am not to happy about the basic cover that comes with this, and was hoping to get an S1 Pro Back-Pack to keep mine safe when out and about, but as yet no luck.

Do you know who I could contact to get one of these as being an S1 Owner and early Adopter? I need one soon, or my precious little box will suffer no doubt.

This dedicated BOSE Forum is great, as I got the solution to my previous Post about marrying an S1 Pro to an L1 Compact back very quickly, so hopefully I will soon be able to receive a Back-pack, or the very least know where to get one from?

Good Luck and Thanks.

Ron.

Hi Ronnie,

For information about the free backpack offer, please see:

S1 Pro Battery included and S1 Pro Backpack for early adopters. May 10 2018

Did your S1 Pro come with the rechargeable battery installed? If not, then you can probably get the free backpack. If not, you'll have to purchase one when they become available for sale.

Please the link above for details.

Thank you,

ST

OK!  I guess they DIDN'T forget the little province of New Brunswick in Canada.  No advance news from UPS, no e-mails but a truck backed into my driveway and voilà!  Already had 2 Arriva padded bags for my S1 but this one is better but much more expensive.  Got an afternoon gig and will use my 2 S1's on stands and to bring them - one in the BackPack and the other in the other bag, mixmatched.  Not used to this.  Can someone tell me when they will be available to the poor ****s that bought their S1 Pro WITH the battery included that WANT one...like ME for my second S1 Pro?

Hi and thanks to those who responded to my post re: above.

My take on this , for what its worth is that following BOSE corporate decision to supply fitted Re-chargeable batteries to this unit, we lost our choice, and mine would have been to have had the Back- pack, which I thought I was getting sent. Never mind I am happy with the unit, but its true worth re: quality sound... is through my TS4 Tonematch Mixer bought separately, and it would have been near perfect with just a few more tweakable EQ options on board... hey ho.

Just received one of mine (the other is expected today) after entering within a day of notification of the gift. THANKS BOSE for this most generous gift, very much appreciated! The bag appears to be very functional, of high quality and a great solution for gigging musicians to protect the S1 during transport and I love the ability to carry on the back and free up to the hands . I also like the storage compartment as I keep my power cords and PA speakers in my speaker bags for quick set up. Very nice!

You’ll need the serial number from your S1 Pro System.

This offer is valid May 10, 2018 – August 7, 2018.

I can’t express how happy this makes me! I’ve been wanting the backpacks since day 1 and dreaded what the cost would be. My prediction was right at $150. I haven’t been able to have 100% of my system during my sessions due to too many trips back and forth but that will be solved soon!

Hi Ronnie.  Joaquin from Alberta, Canada here.  I intend to buy the Bose S1 Pro and very likely also the TS4 Tonematch Mixer.  I play fingerstyle acoustic guitar. Your post about the TS4 ToneMatch Mixer enhancing the quality of sound of the S1 Pro, helps to convince me... Buying the TS4 ToneMatch Mixer will be worthy of the cost of purchase.

Hi Joaquin, apols for late reply.

Yes I have no hesitation in recommending the BOSE  L1 Compact, & T4S Tonematch Mixer to marry-up with it  ( a must with the L1 ), my choice, and also the new S1 Pro Portable PA System. They have made my years of quest for the best acoustic guitar tone come true at last...very clever little boxes are the Tonematch Series T1, T4S & T8S, especially with their ability to select your particular instrument/mic type...all very easy just needing final tweaks at the instrument or via FX, Para & z EQ setting on all the Tonematch mixers.

( Sorry here's a Correction).....When I said that the Tonematch would be perfect if it had a few more tweakable options on board....what that refers to is the S1 Pro. It just has the basic Bass- Teble - & Reverb- Volume --Plus

Master volume... I felt that a few more EQ & FX Options would have been great,  or a more layered Reverb, although to be fair I feel that the Reverb is very usable.

All success with your search, its a joyous ride.ha.

Regards.

Ronnie.

Thanks Ronnie for all the details about the Bose ToneMatch & Bose S1 Pro.  I understood in your original comment you were talking about the S1 Pro’s ToneMatch controls.  I’ve studied the Bose ToneMatch in great detail watching videos and studying the User Guide.  It certainly seems to be quite an advanced piece of equipment with a huge range of sound adjustments and just many many settings to fine tune whatever you are trying to do.  Thanks.

Ya hice el reclamo, mas precisamente ayer 7/8/2018 a las 20hs de Argentina. Me llego un email (This email confirms you successfully submitted your claim for a free Bose S1 Pro Backpack. You will receive your backpack directly from Bose in approximately 8-12 weeks.) Ahora espero que Bose me envie los Backpack. Estaré comentando cuando reciba el paquete. Paciencia paciencia.... 😞😞😟🙃.

Gracias a la comunidad Bose por los utiles post.

Purchased the S1 Pro immediately after he 2018 NAMM Show. Had to purchase the Battery separately for an additional $99.95 and the BOSE store didn't have them yet. Purchased it from BOSE (2nd day AIR) and then received a notice from UPS that they sent it back because Lithium batteries  could not be shipped VIA air. Had to cancel that one and order again specifying GROUND shipment. Sheesh!

Sure wish that I knew about the free backpack offer that went out to "early adopters". Just saw it here in he forum. Program closed August 7, 2018.

:-(

On a happier note, the S1 is fantastic. My 4 other bandmates have now purchased the S1 Pro's as well. Battery included with purchase!
