Discussions about the Bose S1 Pro system

Bose S1 Pro

Designed for musicians, DJs and general PA use, the S1 Pro is the ultimate all-in-one PA, floor monitor and practice amplifier that's ready to be your go-anywhere Bluetooth music system for nearly any occasion.

This is the place to discuss the S1 Pro system.

I recently played a gig at an outdoor venue (papaboos.com).  They moved the stage this year and now we had a much wider space to fill.  I put my L1M2 on the stage behind us and put the S1s at the front of the stage pointing to the wide audience.

When I went out front to hear the system with canned music playing through it, I found that the S1s were so loud that I couldn't hear the L1M2.  I was shocked.  I ended up balancing the two systems by turning up the master on my T1 and turning down the S1s which were still loud.

This system really did a killer job at filling the whole area!

Hi DavidE2,

It appears that the stage is elevated above the audience area by a few feet.

The Model II does not project sound up or down in close proximity to the speaker array. In situations where we need to provide sound for an audience lower than the stage some of us have tilted the L1 slightly forward by placing a 2X4 or something similar under the back legs of the power stand.

If I have misinterpreted the picture disregard this post. If I am correct give tilting a try to get the array output down to your audience.
