Hello there, i just received the bose L1 M2 with B2 bass sub and t4s mixer and i gotta say it sounds great but i've run into an issue.  It sounded great when i plugged my acoustic guitar in but when i tried to play spotify from my phone ( 1/8in aux cable to 1/4in adapter into 5/6 aux on t4s) it only plays one of the speakers/pans(right or left) and then when i add a splitter(two 1/4 in to one) and plug that into both 5/6 it does the other speaker in the mix. Am i doing something wrong? or does this sound like a bad/broken system? I have gigs this weekend and really need this issue resolved asap thank you!!

Hi Nathan Lugo,

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.  Welcome.

It sounds like there is an issue with the adapter(s) you're using.

it only plays one of the speakers/pans(right or left) and then when i add a splitter(two 1/4 in to one)

You want a cable like this

Hosa CMP159

Please follow this link for more details.

T4S with Backing Tracks

Does that help?

Snipped...I played a mono song it worked

Hi Nathan,

Sounds like you've discovered what happens when connecting a stereo feed into a balanced input. Trouble is, some times it seems like its working, then on the other hand you can get some unexpected results, such as one channel missing, very low volume etc. and yes, you will get different results depending on if the signal source is stereo or a duplicate mono signal on an otherwise stereo feed.

The adaptor cable that ST has recommended will put it right as it will convert the balanced inputs to un-balanced and split your stereo feed into the individual 'left' and 'right' channels as required.
