My Bose L1 Model 2 the sound cuts out

All the lights remain on blue on the tonematch however i have no sound output, the sound came back on but was intermitent.  My extension power lead is 3 metres long.  This happened 3 hours into my gig,  Do i have a faulty unit?  This is the second time this has happened. Please help.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community.  I'm sorry you're having intermittent sound interruptions..

How long have you had your L1 system?

Has this been happening in the same location or different locations?

What is the power source (regular power from the wall or is there a generator)?

When the sound drops out, does it return by itself after a few seconds or do you have to do something like cycle the power off/on again to get the sound to come back?

The two most common causes of sound drop outs are poor AC power and an issue with the connection to the bass module.  The cable should be connected with a twist and you'll feel a click when it's locked into place.

Please give the answers above and we'll work through this.

Thanks,

ST

I’ve had my systems thermal on me in the heat of summer. Worth checking the temperature of the ToneMatch and the Powerstand at the rear to see how they are. ToneMatch heat is normally at the ethercon area. Check fan inlet on the powerstand is clear and it is drawing air.

Hi and thank you for your reply.  Ive had my L1 for 2 years now, it has happened at 3 different locations.  The power is from a wall socket and not a generator.

The sound does return back but keeps on dropping out, i didnt power cycle the system as i was at a live gig.

The base module was clicked into position that i do remember.

All the blue lights and display on the tone match remain on, this is what i find odd.....

Your help is appreciated

Kind Regards and thanks in advance

Tony
