We moved to a new Community Platform on October 26th, 2016.  There are new and exciting ways to do things now.  This is the place to ask questions about the new Community platform.

I'm having problems figuring out how to best move around on the Bose Portable PA Forum (here).  For example: Is there a way to look at just the topics in the S1 Pro System section?  If you want to see a topic someone started a few months ago, how can you see a listing of the topics so you can find it?  I realize there is a search engine but in order to effectively use it, you need to know key words; sometimes you may not remember or know them.  It would be nice to be able to see a listing of threads people started in the past so you can learn from them rather than addressing the question again from scratch.

Thanks. I'm probably missing some basic navigating skills here, so any help is greatly appreciated.

This is from the

Welcome! Getting Started in the Community

Navigate through the forums

  • Click Forums
  • Pick a Category (e.g. General Forums)
  • Click the Forum you want to read (e.g. S1 Pro System)

Then you'll see all the discussions in the S1 Pro System Forum.

If you want to see a topic someone started a few months ago, how can you see a listing of the topics so you can find it?

Once you're in a forum, like the S1 Pro System forum, you can scroll down and see all the topics with a little preview of the lead post.

If you want to see all the posts from another member you can.

  1. Click their name
  2. Click their name (again)
  3. Click Activity and you'll see all the posts from that person.

Hi ST. Thanks again for the quick response -- and YES, that helps!  It's clearer to me now on how to move around.  And while the process of "Click Forums/Pick a Category/Click the Forum you want to read", does get you to a listing of all the threads in a given Forum, it would be nice if one could just see a simple listing of the thread titles (much like in the column on the right hand side of this page under Recent Topics). It would make it easier/faster to scroll through past threads.  I don't expect to see a format change here -- just expressing my druthers.

Also, recommendation to other poster -- please take a moment to name your threads with a meaningful title that helps explain the nature of the thread. Later, like say a year later, when looking for some info on for example "S1 Pro Battery life and warranty", it would helpful if the title mentioned it rather than saying just "Battery question".

Just a thought and suggestion.

Meanwhile, thanks ST. This will help tremendously in allowing me to maneuver more efficiently around the Forum pages.

Thanks also from me, I have been winging it, so please site manager, my comment is not a referenced remark to the design or function of this site. Just my own personal confusion, and lack of familiarity with the site.

That goes for me too. I had a terrible time even finding this forum.

Perhaps my titles are not up to speed,  but I will eventually get the hang of it. So all your information is encouraging and I do follow all the links you provide. I do appreciate all the feedback offered and you provide a lot of info for me to reflect upon.    Thanks!
