Looping

Hi Buck,

Welcome to the Bose Portable PA Community.

To answer your question, we need a little more information.

What is downstream from the T1? In other words, is the T1 output going to an L1 Model 1S, L1 Model II, L1 Compact or S1 Pro (or something else).

Thanks,

ST

I have a T1 and a L1 model II

So I have tried 2 different ways.

First - Tonematch master out to RC-30 Instrument input. RC-30 out to channel 4/5. No good.

Second - Separate power cord to T1. T1 master to Instrument input RC-30. RC-30 out to LI base input. No sound.

I'm a newbie to this so any advise would be helpful

Thanks

You could try

  1. Running the ToneMatch channels 1, 2, 3 to the Aux Output only.

  2. Take the Aux Output to the RC-30 Instrument input.
  3. RC-30 Output to T1 Channel 4/5

This would be the most complicated way to do it.  I would do what you tried below.

Second - Separate power cord to T1. T1 master to Instrument input RC-30. RC-30 out to LI base input. No sound.

This should have worked.

Did you turn up the L1 Model II Power Stand Analog Input Trim?

Analog input trim (volume, or gain) control

There is a trim control for the analog input.

  1. Set the Trim control on the power stand to the 0 (zero) position.
  2. Connect the audio source to the Analog Input
  3. Adjust the volume of the audio source to the maximum output without distortion.
  4. While playing the source, increase the Trim level so that the Signal/Clip indicator glows green or yellow.
  5. If the Signal/Clip indicator glows red, decrease the Trim level so that it glows only green or yellow.

Hi Buck,

Let's figure out where things are not connecting.

Does the RC-30 work when you

  • Connect a microphone or instrument directly to the RC-30
    OR playback a recorded loop
  • Connect the RC-30 output to the L1 Model II Power Stand

Thanks Again ST. Got it figured out. Went the route of T1 Aux out to RC-20 instrument. RC-20 out to T1 channel 4/5. The one thing I learned was that if the T1 is set to Aux out, channels 1-3 needed to have tap configured to post. Then everything worked. The only thing thing that  I am curious about was when I connected the RC-20 straight to the L1 base, I had no sound even when adjusting the trim/volume.

Hi Buck,

Thanks for coming back to tell us you got things working.

Great!

I don't have an RC-20 here, but I used to have an RC-30 and it worked fine when connected to the L1 Model II Power Stand.

I can't tell you why your connection from the RC-20 to the L1 Model II Power Stand isn't working.  If the connection works to T1 channel 4 or 5, it should work with the L1 Model II Power Stand.
