Hi everyone.

We have a wiki page for DJs and there is a spot for a picture.

--== click the picture to see it in context ==--

As you can see, we need a picture for that top right corner.

It could be a DJ, KJ, VJ

-= or =-

a picture that conveys that this page is for someone who does what you do.

I am hoping you can help.

Any ideas?

The picture should look good at 250 pixels wide and should be no more than 250 pixels long.

If you post a picture in this discussion and you are offering to let it be used in the wiki this way, please put a note in your post.

I am the owner of this picture and grant permission for it to be used in the Bose L1® Encyclopedia, FAQ and wiki.

You will get a photo credit on the wiki page and a link back to your web site if you provide the address.

If we have several photos offered I can swap in different photos as time goes by.

It isn't essential that the picture be of any specific person. If you have other ideas for an image that says "This Page is for DJ/KJ/VJs", let's talk about it.

At this point I can't promise that I will use your photos, but I wanted to start the discussion and invite your comments.

Thanks everybody!

PS - If you have suggestions for other content for that DJ page please post in this discussion.

Hi DJ Richard,

Thanks!

I spent more than a little time on your website http://www.djrichard.co.nz / http://www.disco.co.nz/

and found plenty of really nice pictures. I also scanned back through tonnes of photos here in the message board.

A couple of thoughts:

  • I am hoping someone out there in the DJ world will volunteer something. I'm not a DJ so my perception of what is fitting may not serve the goal.

We are looking for something that says to the DJ/KJ/VJ who comes to DJ page in the wiki

"Aha - this page is for Me!"

  • Although I will add a thank you, a photo credit, and a link to the contributors web site, I don't think we can use anything that has an identifying banner in the image.
  • Hi Packman

Do you have a photo you would like to suggest. Please add it as an attachment to a post.

    Thanks!
Here are a few that might be a starting point. Most of my 'action' event photos don't include my Bose, so I'll have to remedy that in my future photography.

Comments about suitability are most welcome, as I really do have hundreds of photos, but I'm not sure what exactly people will want to see.

The challenge is getting the "Aha - this page is for Me!" showing the full L1/DJ setup in the small 250x250 space. I couldn't get a good looking shot with the full L1 and the turntable so went for the B1 only.

Will see if I can capture something at this weekends wedding. The photographer at last Mondays wedding is sending me some shots too.
Sorry guys, I don't have any suitable shots at all. I've seen some of Brian Harris' photos on here. He has some nice shots, but evidently isn't looking to post on the wiki. He had one where his console is in the middle with his 2 L1's on either side and it is in a room that is beautiful, not your average community hall wedding venue.
I have no problems with the LCD what so ever. It does not move or shake the picture. The idea was From our good friend here Cap. An awesome DJ and a great Bose fan.

The LCD is 65 lbs and works great. I get more reverberation from the floor than I do than anything else. And folks love. Its great during open dance. And I will play some songs like eagles live doing hotel california that goes great with dinner.
    Hi Dance Host,

Thanks for chiming in. I kind of like the slide show. So unless someone complains that it slows down the page load too much I think we can keep it.

I think #4 is the same as the one the Dan highlighted above.

    Thanks Dan.
NextGen1 that looks awesome. I have a 15" LCD that I use for Karaoke and playing a video or two. I mounted it to an "OnStage" speaker stand adapter and use a speaker stand to mount it on. I have a few 80's videos that people enjoy dancing to. I also have some Sinatra and Dean Martin that the older crowds just go nuts over.
    Hi ST
I don't know if you are just looking for minimalist DJ set ups, but here are a few of the larger ones that we do over here in the UK.

    Regards
    Clive

    Hey there Dynamite DJs,

    Thank you!

Your pictures are now slides 11, 12, 13 on the

DJ / KJ / VJ page in the wiki

I had to shrink that stunning picture of the Jefferson Hotel Empire Room. Here it is. Maybe you can use this on your website. The one you've got there now is nearly 4 megabytes (a little slow to view).

Anyway - here is the smaller version (about 100 times faster to load). I hope you can use it.
