L1 Model II

Let's talk about the L1® Portable Line Array Systems

Using proprietary Bose® technology, L1 systems combine  PA and monitors into a single, highly portable unit. The  loudspeaker can be positioned behind or to the side —and you hear what the audience hears.

Highly portable PA and monitor combined for solo performers, DJs and general-purpose use. Fixed vertical control with 180° horizontal coverage Reduced vulnerability to feedback.

Three systems to choose from (Compact, Model 1S, Model II)
Two passive bass module options (B1 or B2)
Consistent coverage and tonal balance, portability and easy setup.

I am looking for advice/direction on improving upon my live performance audio.  I do not play outside my home.  I have a large sunken living room that rectangular in shape and merges with a family room, Dining room and kitchen; approx. 70' by 25'.   My current audio includes a pair of 8" Yamaha monitors, a KRK sub, soundcraft mixer.  I have a new Moog One, a Roland handsonic, a VoiceLive Extreme for vocals and guitar effects.  I can either play guitar thru some vintage Fender Amps or thru the Voicelive for effects..  I do not record or produce, only live jamming with the boys.   I'm thinking that a PA would be better suited for this purpose.  I have another use in a vacation home for the Yamaha and Sub and mixer, so nothing would be a loss..  Cannot decide if I should just upgrade the monitors to something more musical or suited for live performance or get the Bose Compact, L1 Classic, L1 Model 1 or 2...  also, would 2 compacts provide better separation??  Any opinions would be appreciated...

Original Post

My suggestion would be a pair of Bose S1 Pro speakers...

Rationale:

They sound great and should cover your living area well

They have Bluetooth on board to facilitate audio streaming from your devices

Battery powered so you can take them out on your deck

Lightweight for easy transport

Small size should fit in well with a home living area

They just sound great!

Good Luck!
