L1 Model II Power Stand Intermittent

Hi, new to the forum and Bose L1 Model II.  I am experiencing a problem with the power stand.  After sitting overnight or longer, when I first turn it on nothing happens except for the power light.  When I turn it off and on again I hear a slight fan noise and then can hear sound from the towers.  Seems to work normally after that.  Have not gigged with it yet as it just came two days ago. Anyone else experience this problem?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Good morning afternoon jimroy

I have had the same issue with my L1 model 2 with B2 bass unit. I did post asking if any-one else has had this problem. Reply back from Bose said it should not do this (obviously) only suggestion was to contact repair centre. As this only happened probably once in 20 to 30 switch on's I decided to live with this minor irritation. Funnily enough it has not happened again for about 4 months and we rehearse nearly every day. As you say switch on, mains light comes on my T1 switched on and indicated signal but nothing out of the tower. Switch off wait for 10 seconds then switch on, all's working fine.

Regards

Garry

Thanks for the reply Garry.  Needless to say, I am disappointed that this is happening.  I’m not sure I can live with it but I do have the option to return or replace.  I wonder if there are other users that have B2 bass modules that have experienced this?  My bandmate has the B1 and has not.

Thanks again, Jim

The unit should power on and be ready to go.

You shouldn't have to worry if your new system will work or not.  Since you have the option to replace this new unit, I would do that.
