Hi

I bought my T8S!!

Updated the firmware (to 1.1.4) and will play with it as soon as I have some time to myself.

Question: I can't find instructions on how to register the purchase with Bose. I know (at least I'm pretty sure) that I did register my L1M2 and my S1. When I bought those there was documentation on how to register with Bose. Can't find anything like that with my T8S documentation. So I'm wondering ...

Is the LCD screen designed to have a black background or is there a way to change that?

Also got the Xvive guitar and mic wireless connectors ... quite impressed with the quality and range when I plugged into my T1! And I notice that the power supply with the T8S is labelled as a T1 power supply!! So I tried the power supply from my T1 and it worked just fine with the T8S!!

Cheers

Congratulations.

Great.

Here is a link to information that goes beyond the T8S Owner's Guide.

T8S ToneMatch Mixer

Please follow this link: Register your ToneMatch mixer

If you're looking for that later, find it here

Yes, the background is black. There's no way to change that.

The ToneMatch Power Supplies aren't labeled as T1 or T8S/T4S. Although they have the same part number, Bose recommends you use the ToneMatch power supply that came with the T8S, with the T8S.

Here's a picture of the older version that could be purchased for the T1.

For those reading along, if you order the ToneMatch Power Supply now, you'll get the newer (smaller version - top picture).

@ST Thank you so much for answering my questions. You are most helpful and much appreciated (I think I speak for everyone on this forum)!

I did notice that the new power supply is smaller than my old (T1) power supply when I opened it up just now.

Haven't had much time to play around but I did set up my T8S and the first thing that I did was to try out the digital doubling that you mentioned elsewhere on his forum.

I first tried that with my T1 and honestly didn't notice much of a difference. I then replicated those settings on the T8S and, wow, what a noticeable difference!

I also plugged my (Takamine) guitar into the T8S using the Takamine settings (which I have on my T1 too) and again, huge difference compared to the T1 - the T8S has more 'oomph' and brighter sounds (playing through my S1). It just sounds better.

It'll take me a while to try out more but my first impressions are that the T8S is a huge improvement on the T1.

Sorry if I'm boring folks on this forum, but I wanted to share my experience (as limited as it is right now).

Cheers,
