L1 Model II

Let's talk about the L1® Portable Line Array Systems

Using proprietary Bose® technology, L1 systems combine  PA and monitors into a single, highly portable unit. The  loudspeaker can be positioned behind or to the side —and you hear what the audience hears.

Highly portable PA and monitor combined for solo performers, DJs and general-purpose use. Fixed vertical control with 180° horizontal coverage Reduced vulnerability to feedback.

Three systems to choose from (Compact, Model 1S, Model II)
Two passive bass module options (B1 or B2)
Consistent coverage and tonal balance, portability and easy setup.

I have been so impressed with my pre-owned L1 m1 with 2 x B1s but I have found the powerbase a bit cumbersome in small venues where there is no stage or the stage is about the size of a postage stamp.

As a consequence I tried out a 1s and liked it. I subsequently bought one. I now have a new 1s, a pre-owned B2 and B1, a new T1 and S1Pro.

Whilst I am still getting to grips with the settings for various venues I haven't felt the need to update the firmware and will not attempt to do so until the current run of Christmas and New Year gigs are over.

My understanding is that there is no firmware upgrade compatible with my mac os at the moment. With my mix of new and pre-owned equipment I am not sure to what degree they are up to date. I haven't encountered any issues as yet but haven't tried the B2 at high volume due to consideration for my neighbours however I suspect that the 3 way switch does not make a noticeable difference to the bass sound so that may be a firmware issue.

I would welcome any advice and also notification when firmware downloads compatible with Mojave 10.14.2 become available

Thanks for the background information.

Your new T1 and L1 Model 1S will not need firmware updates.

You've got no concerns here.

At low volume, you won't hear much difference.

We'll make an announcement here in the community. But we're not expecting any new firmware for the L1 Model 1S and T1.

Does that help?
