Troy Cassar-Daley: On the Road with Bose

By Rebecca Laycock

Troy Cassar-Daley is a highly acclaimed Australian country music singer/songwriter. He loves his music, his country, its people and places, and Bose® products.

Troy’s love of music began as an 11-year-old boy when he first visited Australia’s premier Country Music Festival at Tamworth. Today, he is known as “one of the hardest-working men in the business. His latest smash-hit album Brighter Day, and his most recently won Golden Guitars, his 13th, are the result of years spent relentlessly touring and recording, ultimately leading to his position as Australia’s undisputed king of country music.”*

Throughout his extensive touring of Australia and overseas, Troy has always taken pride in his sound. “Which is where I crossed paths with Bose® speakers,” he said. “From the very beginning of my touring career I started with two pairs of Bose 802s and one pair of 302 A loudspeakers. Those old speakers were worth their weight in gold as they put up with many a rough mile with us throughout the vast outback of Australia.”

Troy toured with his Bose speakers until he gained more popularity. Then he started playing larger venues with bigger public address systems. “My old 802s are now in my studio as I didn’t have the heart to sell them,” he said.

However Troy recently revived his love of Bose products when he discovered the Bose L1 Personalized Amplification System™. “I found out about the L1 while reading a music magazine in Nashville,” Troy said. “I then got on the Bose website and checked it out.”

“And I’m glad I did!”

“When it comes to something small and intimate I can’t go past the Bose L1,” Troy said.

“These small personal PA systems are so compact and loud, you won’t believe your ears.

When we do special showcase gigs on our way around to promote my new albums, we get the L1 out of the truck and it easily covers rooms that hold between 100 and 150 people.

“Its rich sound never disappoints. It is amazing to hear.”

Troy cannot say enough about the L1 and is a keen advocate of it. “I have found that this system really suits a solo situation and anyone out there looking for a very compact and loud system, the L1 is for you. I also use it for small band rehearsals at home in my studio.

“It is all class which is typical of Bose products. They research and develop products until they are right. The quality is always there for every situation.”
