I bought my L1 Compact today, set it up and connected my TC-Helicon Voicelive Touch 2 to it using the XLR Out to Channel 1. My Yiari is also running the TCH VLT2. It sounded GREAT! But then... I read the manual and it said to use TSR out to Ch. 2. I didn't feel like that was as solid or crisp. I had TM set to off. Does it hurt anything to go XLR to Ch. 1??? Help!

There's no harm sending the XLR output from your TC-Helicon VoiceLive Touch 2 to L1® Compact Channel 1. If you prefer the sound using Channel 1 then use it.
If you are splitting the vocal output from the guitar output, I would consider running the vocal output to L1® Compact Channel 1 and the guitar output to L1® Compact Channel 2. Try Channel 2 with and without the ToneMatch Preset (switch up or down).
Does that help?
Great! I like adding chorus and the VLT2 has the guitar effects. If I come out of the VLT2's guitar Thru, I think that bypasses the built-in guitar effects, right? So I would lose any chorus, eq, and compression I have set up in VLT2. I'm still fairly new to the TC-Helicon, too.
I'm not familiar with the TC-Helicon VoiceLive Touch 2. I've had other TC-Helicon products and with those I could route the voice with effects to one output, and the guitar with effects to the other output. I think you'll need to spend some time with the TC-Helicon manual to see if you can do that with your unit.
Edit - Brian - please see next post.
See page 59 in the TC-Helicon manual
Dual Mono setting When you set the Output parameter to Dual Mono, the left TRS output and the XLR jacks output the effected vocal, and the effected guitar signal is output from the right TRS jack.
In this configuration, a sound engineer can control the level balance between the mono wet vocal (i.e. vocal with harmonies and effects) and the mono wet guitar signal.
Okay. I looked through the manual but must have missed that. I'll give it a try. The Thru just gives me dry guitar. Thanks!
Please let us know how that works for you.
