Cable from socket to speaker?

Hi, I have a good question.....
I need to mount my L1 model II in a tight space, and does not have room for the the socket. I am wondering if it's possible to mount the speaker alone, and the connect it to the socket using a cable? By doing this, I will be able to place the socket 2-3 feet from the speaker, and make it work.
What do you think? Are you familiar with the connector plug used in speaker and socket?

Hi Nielsen,

This is a good question, and has been asked many times since the introduction of the original L1 Classic. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there is no support from Bose for this type of use.

You can use the Model II with just the lower array without harm and get reasonably good results in a pinch, but it will not provide the ideal dispersion of sound.

I am not aware of anyone making cables for this purpose, but that doesn't mean they don't exist, it just means the answers aren't likely to be found here. I looked for the connectors at one point in the past and was unable to find them. Again, that doesn't mean they are not available, just not the easiest to find, and that might be relative to my searching skills.
