Cable?

Hi Dance Host,

If you have a stereo recording, and you connect your stereo playback device to the T1® Channel 4/5, the T1® will convert that to mono.

The T1® Master Output is mono. It will have the combined version of the stereo source.

The T1® Master Output is balanced. If your powered speaker accepts a balanced input then use a balanced cable for best results.

Balanced Cables:
¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve at both ends if the powered speaker accepts 1/4.

OR

¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve to XLR if the if the powered speaker accepts XLR.

Have I answered your question?

Hi Dance Host,

To be complete:

If you connect to your T1® via the default settings will direct combine the stereo signal to mono. That stereo comes in through the USB port goes to the Master Output. You can change that if you want (e.g. send the USB from PC to Channel 4/5 and then route Channel 4/5 to Aux only). You can do that but it would defeat the purpose of what you are trying to do.

If your powered speaker accepts a ¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve mono balanced input, then yes.

If you post a link to the manual for your powered speaker, I'd be happy to look at that with you.

That's certainly possible.
If your powered loudspeaker has a balanced input, then using a ¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve cable will give you a balanced connection.

If you use a ¼ inch jack Tip-Sleeve cable, you will have an unbalanced connection. That will still work but you may lose - 6 dB compared to a balanced connection.

A balanced connection typically affords a stronger signal with greater resistance to line noise. It is also recommended for cable runs that exceed 20-25 feet.

Here are some notes about Balanced and Unbalanced connections.

If you post a link to the manual for your powered speaker, I'd be happy to look at that with you to determine if the input is balanced.
