Bose F1 Subwoofer vs. QSC KW181

Hi guys. I'm new to the form. And I am new to Bose products. My previous setup for DJing was to QSC K12 and one kw181. I was in the market for a lighter set up but one that did not compromise SPL and bass response. I stumbled upon the Bose F1 system. I bought a subwoofer and brought it to the house and did and a b comparison to the kw181. The kw181 is bigger it is heavier and it hits harder while going deeper. It was a close battle. The Bose F1 subwoofer technically lost that battle to the bigger sub. But it won the war because I ended up selling the QSC 181 and purchasing another F1 subwoofer. I actually now have 2 F1 systems. This information is for all the DJs out there who love bass and wants to know if this system can keep up with what is currently on the market. I am not a sound tech nor a sound engineer I am just a guy who loves Bass and if this system did not give me what I was looking for I would not even touch it. I will make another post about the tops versus the K12. I am also a cheapskate and a penny pincher who will not release my money unless I get exactly what I need and want

Thank you for choosing Bose, and thank you for writing up your review.

I really appreciate your first-hand report with your real-world insights as DJ.

Cheers!

I feel the same way... the F1s subs come close to the sound of 18" subs and as far as I am concerned if I need more bottom end I just add more F1 subs. I am very happy with the sound and power to size ratio as well! This is coming from someone who use to own for double 18"s... and I have four F1 subs.

Thanks for your review... I am looking for forward to your one comparing the tops!
