Hi fearless,

I just installed the Bose Hear app version 6.01 from the Apple Store. It installed over version 6.0 with no issues.

On my Android device I had to uninstall version 6.0 and then get version 6.01 from Google Play.

ST

So cool!  Got my two S1 Pros working in stereo! Tested it with Spotify / Donald Fagen -- The Nightfly.  First with I.G.Y., a great song to test out sound systems; and then with Green Flower Street and New Frontier for very distinct stereophonics!

This is a great addition to the S1 Pro.  Bet'cha there will be folks out there buying a second S1 Pro just to hear it in stereo, ha ha!

Oh, by the way, as of this evening (May 31, 2018), the app version was already updated to 7.0.10 ...

I downloaded the Bose Connect app into my Android phone and lost connectivity via bluetooth.  I tried toggling power switch, etc. no joy.

Uninstalled the App and recovered connectivity to the S1s.

Anyone else experienced this?

I'd LOVE to be able to play stereo out of my two S1s...

Just figured it out.  Thanks so very much Bose the stereo streaming from iPhone to 2 Bose S1’s is perfect.  I just was not sure how to update to new firmware for S1 Pro.  For those that might not know.  You need to be on a desk top computer and download the Bose Update app and then find the picture of the S1 Pro.  Connect a micro usb cable and hit the update.  Leave it connected as you see the transfer and it should take 2-5min.

I "updated" my 2 S1s to 7.1

NEITHER of them WILL connect to the Bose Connect app on my Android phone.  The Bose Connect app says "Don't see your product?" and of course, I DON'T!

They'll connect directly to my phone through the normal "channel" but not through Bose Connect App (Version 6.0)

Another symptom - on one of the S1s, the light next to the power switch became inoperative until I unplugged the power cord a couple of times and then tried the switch again...scared me, thought I had a BRICK on my hands!

This is why 'firmware updates' always scare me...In my 53 years working (professionally) with computers, I've seen them fail too many times...  :-(

I got scared too thinking I bricked one of mine. The battery on mine died and/or a pop up interrupted my laptop and I had an orange light in channel 1 and I couldn’t even turn my s1 back on. Plugging my s1 in and refreshing the entire web page fixed it though if anyone runs into that problem 🤞🏽

This may be the issue.  This thread says download Bose Connect App Version 6.1.0 but the ONLY one I can find at the App store is 6.0 -- which obviously doesn't work even after I updated the firmware on the S1s to 7.1

So how can I install Bose Connect 6.1 to try that version out?

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to update for someone not using two S1's in stereo?

O..

The latest firmware adds Bluetooth functionality so it will work with Bose Connect.

Within Bose Connect you can control the volume, change the Bluetooth name, use party-mode (two Bose devices at the same time), and stereo mode.

You don't need two S1 Pro systems for party-mode or stereo. As I'm writing this post, I'm listening to music in stereo from my Android tablet. I am using an S1 Pro on one side and a Bose SoundLink Revolve on the other.

Bose recommends that you update your S1 Pro to the latest firmware so you have the latest features. Also - in future, you can receive and install updates using Bose Connect, without a wired connection. Although I should add that wired updates are faster.

Please update the firmware in your S1 Pro.

Visit Bose system update center

Scroll down and click the image of the S1 Pro.

Follow the prompts.

A few minutes later, your S1 Pro will be up to date with the latest firmware.

Does that help?

Hi Chet,

I already uninstalled and reinstalled Bose Connect.

I go to app store - Verizon LG phone.

If you haven't tried this - please go to Google Play.

When I follow the link above, it takes me to version 6.0.1

What do you see?

The Bose Connect version I'm presented with:

"What's new in Bose Connect 6.0!!"

I CANNOT FIND a link that will download and install Bose Connect 6.1!!

Thanks,

ST

I clicked on the Google Play link that translates to this:

https://play.google.com/store/...e.monet&hl=en_US

I tried it in my Firefox browser

And get version 6.0  !!!!!!

Tried a DIFFERENT BROWSER - Chrome - Got version 6.0  !!!!!!

I'm DESPERATE ENOUGH to try rebooting my computer now to see if that will allow the browser to obtain version 6.1.  Then maybe try re-booting my phone as well...

Hi Chet,

Are you connecting to the web through a VPN or proxy server. Is there a third party cache between you and the web?

Here's what I see when I go to the web page

It looks odd where is says Current Version 6.0 but when I installed it on my Android device, it identifies itself as version 6.1.0 and it recognizes the S1 Pro.

Have you tried installing the version from web

No VPN, no proxy server, no 3rd party cache...

Straight Exede Satellite internet from here in the middle of no where...

I'll try installing it again on my (now re-booted) phone and see what version installs...

25.42mb download (my first computer had 256k of memory, as Bill Gates said, "Who's going to ever need more than 256k!" with 2 90k floppy drives)...

Installed: APP VERSION 6.0 !!!!

Just from what I skimmed through have you tried doing a full app close out of the Bose connect and the android App Store? May seem obvious but hey 🤷🏽‍♂️. I had a similar problem where I THOUGHT my app was auto updated because it finally had the s1 in the help section but it wasn’t exactly v6.1
