I have been trying to get the .bos files to update my L1 Model II Power Stand but everytime I try to down the link it routes me to a forbidden page. I purchased a B2 Bass and need to update the stand to have it work properly. Help!

I have an L1 model model 2 with tone match. Last night i did and update of the Firmware, both of the ToneMatch and The L1 Model 2. I appears however that the L1 update was interrupted. I took the system to a memorial function today but to my dismay I couldn’t get sound from the L1 Model 2 and the ToneMatch says that the power stand is not connected. Updating the tone match

I bought my tonematch in 2015 and just learned that I can use it for recording. I'm still trying to figure out how. But I thought I might need to update the firmware. The tone match says the "updating software please wait." Its been stuck there for over an hour. Can I disconnect or turn both the my Mac and the tonematch off?

Please help, i just updated my T1 firmware to 1.8 version and now it sounds like **** may be some one can tell me what i did wrong. I use T1 with L1 model 1. for many years I love the big sound of my T1 and my L1. I should have left it alone. I try to reset to factory still no help. I recently updated my Bose S1 pro to v. 7.0.11 (the latest). The aux. bluetooth volume knob doesn't work until it reaches 10%, and the sound blows up. Does someone have the same issue ? How to get the volume work normally ? Thanks for your assistance

Hi I just received my new T8S (replacing my T1 for more channels) I want to use it with my L1 II & B2 sub. I'm in AUSTRALIA. I checked the version in PREFS... & its; T8S v1.1.0. I've tried to update the firmware. It downloads fine but when I try to open it i get the following msg: Do I need to update the firmware on the T8S? Do I need to update the firmware on my old L1 II also? If so why can't I open the download? Thanks in advance

I believe you don’t open it. First download the L1 updater and start that. connect your tonematch to the computer. The L1 updater should them see the tonematch and tell you if it needs updating. if it does click the update and navigate to where the new firmware .bos is and select it. Update will then process.

Hi, Nickhoff. Congratulations. Yes. There are two files required ToneMatch Updater for Mac with firmware version 1.1.4 and the T8S *.bos file Please see T4S/T8S Firmware Update Instructions If the B2 Bass Level Switch is working in all three positions, your L1 Model II Power Stand firmware is current. No update required. Does that help? ST

Thank you ST Yes that helped, thanks mate 👌🏽 It was still a "clunky" process as I needed to change my security setting on my iMac to "allow unknown update files" to open (unknown sources) but I got there successfully in the end! Hi ST Thanks for the link. It will come in handy for sure as its way more in depth than the QuickStart booklet supplied. I loved using it at two of my weekend gigs and have pretty much got it sorted I think... I'll tweek it and experiment now as i get more comfortable with my band set up. Question: Can I use the T1 plugged digitally into the L1 stand with the Bose lead supplied for the digital input, at the same time as the t8s plugged into the analogue input? Effectively giving me 8...

Hi Nick, No sorry, we can't route the Aux inputs 9/10 to the Aux outputs. Bose engineered the T8S ToneMatch mixer to have eight full-function channels and two Aux iliary inputs. The Aux inputs 9/10 are routed directly to the Main Output. You can use the Pan and Level adjustments accessible through the PAN/AUX menu. There are no changes to routing, or signal processing available. Only T8S ToneMatch mixer channels one through eight can be routed to the Aux Outputs. Source: T8S Aux Inputs ST

Hi ST Thank you for your reply. I thought that might be the case but wanted to check to see if there was a workaround. It shouldn’t be a problem, I’ll use my T1 as a sub Mix into Two channels on the T8S which should just give me enough channels to do what I need. I just need to get my backing track (which I was sending to Aux 9 and 10) into the monitors mix (Aux 1,2,3,4). Kind regards Nick

Hi ST ah of course... I only need to send the T1 to 1 channel of the T8S don’t I ? Come out of the T1 - main out using a 1/4” jack trs stereo lead? Or a mono lead? (The backing track is stereo into the T1) Into a channel on The T8S (say ch 8), then send ch 8 to my Aux monitor sends 1,2,3,4 as desired? kind regards Nick

Hi Nick, Please see this article for details. T1 to T8S to L1 The signal from the T1 Master Output is balanced mono. Here's an article that should clarify the terminology. Balanced vs Unbalanced Connection The output from the T1 ToneMatch Audio Engine is a balanced mono 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) Tip-Ring-Sleeve and the input on the T8S ToneMatch mixer is a balanced mono 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) Tip-Ring-Sleeve so use a cable like this. The T1® Firmware updates have addressed functional issues and added features. The firmware updates did not change anything that would have changed the overall sound. So, is version 1.1.4 the current version for the T8S? Your wording above confuses me because you are advising us to update if we haven't updated since November 2018 (version 1.1.4). I have NOT " updated my firmware since November 2018 (version 1.1.4) " because I already have that version loaded. I believe it would be clearer if you had said "if you have not updated your T4S/T8S with version 1.1.4 (released in November 2018), then you should do that now." Please clarify. Thanks!

Hi ST. When I got my T8S back from Base repair, there was a note in the box that said unit has been checked and all updates installed. So when I turned on the T8S it still has 1.4 Then I went to check my TI and it shows DSP Firmware 1.8, Power stand 1.5. Remember I am using B2 for subs so I'm pretty sure I will need 1.8 for them in order to use all options on the back of the B2 and according to the B2 manual. **** I'm having fun.

Hi Chuckm, Everything is up to date. The firmware versions are different for different devices. T8S: The latest firmware is version 1.1.4 T1: The latest firmware is version 1.8 L1 Model II Power Stand: The latest firmware version is 1.5 For those reading along - if you have L1 Model II Power Stand version 1.4 you have the latest user-installable version. Hi piiman, I'd encourage you to keep your firmware current. We tweak things and sometimes add features. If you have *any* trouble with the update process, you can always call Bose Support and they will walk you through it. Just got a T4S using with an L1Classic... The above T4S firmware updates link gives me this: T4_Update-master-v1.0.10-73dd282.bos ....which I already have.....then it needs an app to open which doesn't exist on Mac. I'm running latest Mac 10.13.4

After figuring out how to work it...download in progress 15 minutes....finishes then receive a message no Bose USB compatible device found. same v1.0.10 on TS4. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Squid, I'm sorry about the disconcerting message. It sounds like you're seeing the message I mention at 4:20 in the video. Please turn off the ToneMatch mixer. Turn it back on. If you don't still have the USB cable connected, connect it again. Then open the L1 Updater software on the computer. It should show you have the latest firmware. All set? ST

My bad....after calling, I found out v 1.0.10 is the latest version after 1.0.09....just came out.....I thought it was still reading 1.0.1.....

Hey guys, Just got my T8s today and have been trying to update firmware. My current version says V1.0.1 It's confusing because is this the correct V1.0.10 without the last 0?? I've followed all the steps shown here and online (many times) and my Tonematch just says "Update in Progress DO NOT DISCONNECT" But after 30 minutes nothing changes and I have to disconnect. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks. T

Hi trav12, I'm sorry you are having a problem with updating the firmware in your T8S. Let's double check something. Please turn the power off and back on, on your T8S. Then: Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs Scroll through the menu to Versions Press the menu button. What version does it say? If it is still 1.0.1 - please try again with a different USB cable connected directly to the computer and the T8S (not through a hub). ST

When I call Bose at 877-335 2673, I have to try multiple times to even get someone halfway knowledgable about this subject. Big problems with T4S doing this a couple weeks ago with them. Now I'm going through the same thing with Bose for the T8S so far with an hour back and forth on hold while they consult with someone who MIGHT know something. They just don't seem to know much about this subject. A few years ago there was great knowledgable support there--not any more.
