T1 Tonematch - L1 Model II system power stand firmware v1.4 - No link available

I have been trying to get the .bos files to update my L1 Model II Power Stand but everytime I try to down the link it routes me to a forbidden page. I purchased a B2 Bass and need to update the stand to have it work properly. Help!

Hi patrick3co, Thank you for joining the Community. I'm really sorry about that broken link. I've fixed that now. L1® Model II system power stand firmware v1.4 version 1.4 makes the l1® model ii system fully compatible with the b2 bass module's bass level control. ST

I have an L1 model model 2 with tone match. Last night i did and update of the Firmware, both of the ToneMatch and The L1 Model 2. I appears however that the L1 update was interrupted. I took the system to a memorial function today but to my dismay I couldn’t get sound from the L1 Model 2 and the ToneMatch says that the power stand is not connected. I’ve tired several times to do a power cycle, re-download and redo the update but it has totally failed. Please help I am in Zimbabwe. I had...

Hi Ryan, I'm sorry that happened to you. It does seem that the firmware update interruption caused this problem. If the T1 shows a firmware version for itself, but nothing for the "PS2" power stand, then the power stand would need to be serviced. We can service the power stand in the US or in Canada only. Hi. I'm in Zimbabwe. Twintrade emails are not being replied. I however called and they referred me to Solution Center who spent two days saying they're downloading the Technical Manuals. It seems they do not really have an idea. Calling is a bit of a challenge due to the time difference. Could you please advise me on how I can send the PS for servicing. I need to use it for another big function on 2 September. I really expected it to be simple considering that this is more of a software...

Hi Ryan, I'm sorry for the trouble! We are a US-based service team and can only ship products within the US and Canada. So let me reach out to our global service department to see what other avenues you have in Zimbabwe. I would recommend contacting Solution Center again in the meantime though. Hi Nick I'm still waiting for your assistance. I haven't had any joy from Solution Center. While I was waiting for this to be sorted I got my sister to buy another L1 Model 2 PS, UK version this time around since I'm building another set. While is was testing it for the first time by playing music from my phone thru the analogue input, it just played music for about 10 mins, I then heard a very faint pop sound and all power went off. Thought it was a fuse so I've tried a different power...

Good day. It's a Bose L1 Model 2 power stand sound system that I tried to do a firmware update. I suspect the update didn't go thru but then from then on the power stand just switches on but there's no sound. I've also contacted Bose and they said the unit will have to be serviced at a capable Bose Service Centre. Could you please do me a favor and find out if you'd be able to service it for me. I'm in Zimbabwe so once you can confirm for me that you can service it I'll courier it to you.

Hi Chris I sent back the second new PS to the UK and they repaired it for free. I’m still stuck with the first one, the 110Volt one which had a failed firmware update, I’ve sent it to South Africa’s Alpha Tech who do Bose products but they seem not to have an idea of what needs to be done. They say the 110V Systems are sensitive to power surges and maybe something else is affected but I know it’s just a failed Firmware Update which can be resolved at a capable service Centre. you had said...

I bought my tonematch in 2015 and just learned that I can use it for recording. I'm still trying to figure out how. But I thought I might need to update the firmware. The tone match says the "updating software please wait." Its been stuck there for over an hour. Can I disconnect or turn both the my Mac and the tonematch off?

Turn the rotary selector to Prefs Turn the left most button (Menu) to Versions. Press the button to see the Version. The current version is v1.0.4. Hi piiman, I'd encourage you to keep your firmware current. We tweak things and sometimes add features. If you have *any* trouble with the update process, you can always call Bose Support and they will walk you through it. Hi Squid, I'm sorry about the disconcerting message. It sounds like you're seeing the message I mention at 4:20 in the video. Please turn off the ToneMatch mixer. Turn it back on. If you don't still have the USB cable connected, connect it again. Then open the L1 Updater software on the computer. It should show you have the latest firmware. All set? ST

My bad....after calling, I found out v 1.0.10 is the latest version after 1.0.09....just came out.....I thought it was still reading 1.0.1.....

Just got a T4S using with an L1Classic... The above T4S firmware updates link gives me this: T4_Update-master-v1.0.10-73dd282.bos ....which I already have.....then it needs an app to open which doesn't exist on Mac. I'm running latest Mac 10.13.4

After figuring out how to work it...download in progress 15 minutes....finishes then receive a message no Bose USB compatible device found. same v1.0.10 on TS4. Am I doing something wrong?

T1® upgrade firmware to version 1.8

Please help, i just updated my T1 firmware to 1.8 version and now it sounds like **** may be some one can tell me what i did wrong. I use T1 with L1 model 1. for many years I love the big sound of my T1 and my L1. I should have left it alone. I try to reset to factory still no help. Hello Sid, Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community. I'm sorry you're unhappy with the sound after updating to T1® Firmware 1.8. The T1® Firmware updates have addressed functional issues and added features. The firmware updates did not change anything that would have changed the overall sound. Hey guys, Just got my T8s today and have been trying to update firmware. My current version says V1.0.1 It's confusing because is this the correct V1.0.10 without the last 0?? I've followed all the steps shown here and online (many times) and my Tonematch just says "Update in Progress DO NOT DISCONNECT" But after 30 minutes nothing changes and I have to disconnect. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks. T

Hi trav12, I'm sorry you are having a problem with updating the firmware in your T8S. Let's double check something. Please turn the power off and back on, on your T8S. Then: Turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs Scroll through the menu to Versions Press the menu button. What version does it say? If it is still 1.0.1 - please try again with a different USB cable connected directly to the computer and the T8S (not through a hub). ST

When I call Bose at 877-335 2673, I have to try multiple times to even get someone halfway knowledgable about this subject. Big problems with T4S doing this a couple weeks ago with them. Now I'm going through the same thing with Bose for the T8S so far with an hour back and forth on hold while they consult with someone who MIGHT know something. They just don't seem to know much about this subject. A few years ago there was great knowledgable support there--not any more.

Thanks for dealing with this issue, ST. Once we finally got the T8S updated (on the phone with different people at Bose tech support for over 2 hours), the unit works and sounds great and seems to be a nice sonic improvement over the T1--not to mention the great I/O improvement.

Hi Ted, The device you are trying to update is a T1 ToneMatch® audio engine, not a T4S. That's why it won't accept the T4S file. It is up-to-date with firmware version 1.8. ST

I have the file you zipped to me. When I open the L1 updater, after plugging into the T4s, the first item on the list is T1 Firmware DSP 1.8, followed by a series of T1 titles. There is no reference to T4S anywhere, just T1. When I attempt to update, it immediately says the selected file is not compatible. Please select a compatible file. I have countless units that periodically require firmware updates. None are as brain damaging as this.

Hi Ted, I have zipped the file (see attachments below). Please download and expand these files into the same folder as the L1 Updater. Then run the updater and update the firmware. I have just used the same file to update my T4S here. Please let us know if it works for you. Thank you. ST

Spoke too soon. It would appear the T4_Update-master-v1.1.0-12f79c9.bos file down loaded, and now resides in the same folder as the L1-Updater-version_1.1.exe file. However, when I try to update the T1 Firmware DSP in the updater, it says the selected file is not compatible. Using both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi AH7, You missed the step in the video where you put all the files in the same folder. You need to put the *.bos file from this page http://bosepromktg.com/ToneMatch_Mixer_Firmware/T8/ into the same folder as the L1 Updater program. I just went through the steps on my machine. I created a folder called Bose and put the L1 Updater program and the *.bos file into it like this. When I run the L1 Updater and click Update and you should see The update will start. I got my t8 with version v101 . Looking for v110 unable to do it. I download the update tool app and v110 , but in the update box still show version v101 SEE PICTURE 1 And after I click on the update box no file is available to transfer to the t8 SEE PICTURE 2 <<<<<ANY HELP WILL BE NICE >>>>>
