I'm surprised any of the originals are still working. Everyone I know with one (including myself) had the power supply blow after years of use. No replacements are available, so they can no longer fix these units. They do offer a decent price on a refurbished L1M2.

Yes, I’m grateful that it’s still working. I’m the original owner - bought it in 2004. Never gave me any trouble, fortunately. The broken lid is the only issue I’ve ever had. The funny thing is, support said they had a few hundred replacement lids. I have insurance on it, just in case!

Hi Scott, I'm sorry that there was a bit of conflicting information. Generally speaking, we do ask that you send your T1 back first. If the first representative you talked to made the accommodation to ship you the new one first, then it was definitely our error to not follow through with that. (It's a bit of a manual process to tell our system to ship a new product first, so it was likely a clerical error. Let's pretend that was our first and only mistake ever) And again, I'm sorry for the...

Nick, thanks for responding. I was only asking just to know. Of course my face was sad when I was told I had to send the other one back first. The customer service has always been great when I've needed it no matter the product. I did think though that if something happened closer to a gig and what I'd have to do, which is buy a new T1 or use a different mixer. I'd like to suggest another option to offer for expediency. Pay the current full price up front and upon return of the item needing...

If the problem is a broken zipper head, here's another option. I just used it to repair a PedalTrain bag... https://www.fixnzip.com/ Be sure you measure to get the right size. Go on Youtube for installation info. Also, after installing, you can rub candle wax on the zipper to make it zip easier. I hear Windex also works well but I didn't have any Windex.

Thanks everyone... all good ideas. I'm guessing the sticky knobs started up from sitting in the sun too long. I always try to keep the T1 out of direct sunlight, but I'm thinking that is was caused it. I ended up calling Bose and ordered new ones. It came in a 3 pack for just over $8. I think they would have covered them had my unit been less than a year old. Frank.

S1 battery replacement in 2-3 years?

EssEll ·
(Wow, the Bose forum has changed, I think, since I last visited!) Anyway I was strongly looking at getting the S1 Pro but the best info I have says that, regardless of how much I use the unit, its rechargeable LI-Ion battery will have a maximum life of 2-3 years (and I assume that's the same battery that Bose sells for it for $99). Is this correct? It's less of a deal-breaker than I thought, since $99 isn't horrendously expensive, but it's definitely a factor for me.... Comments? Thanks....

L1 Model II, replace just the amplifier?

Thanks for your time, I hope everybody's treating you like a human being today! The L1 Model II is magical, we bought to of them and had great success with our last large choir / band performance in December. We left the speakers to be used by the church we were partnering with at the time, and in late February one of the amps apparently died suddenly, doesn't output signal and LED shows clipping regardless of input. Yuck. :) How do I just replace the power stand? And quickly, we actually...

Replacement Gig Bags

Hi, my husband and I purchased the pro L1 model II about three years ago and we have been thrilled with the sound and versatility. peterindc ·
Nice. Answers a question I had on another thread. It also suggests that getting a second battery to swap in and out isn't a good idea (or necessary) since then in 2-4 years you'd be spending $200 to replace both of them, instead of just waiting to replace the one when it needs it.

Greetings! Not sure about the availability of the cover for the base unit, but I purchased a set of the tower bags for my L1 Model2 from B&H Photo in NY. Note: Their website has the manufacturer's specs, which say that this is for a single bag. It actually comes as a set of two tower bags. I ordered two, and wound up with two sets of two bags! B&H took them back and promptly refunded me the cost of the second set. Good luck!

Are you looking for just the replacement Bose gig bags for the speaker towers or something like hard case ATA Level that can be put on a plane? This is the SKB style case which can be found at a variety of online music retailers. They are bulky and heavy, but very durable. The soft bags can be found used periodically on reverb.com or eBay. There use to be some “heavy duty” bags, but they were discontinued. Other nine retailers sell the soft bags for around $60, but they are the same ones...
