Broken driver on Radiator!

Ian Eric ·
Playing a gig last night, and heard what sounded like your typical blown speaker in my L1M2; fuzzy, distorted, etc. Sounded that way from the first note of the night. Decided to open her up today, and the photo shows what I discovered. The magnet of this driver is literally half-broken off the frame! This is the upper-most speaker on the lower radiator. Anyone seen this before? My system is 16 months old, and while it gets used a lot (I average at least 4 gigs per week), I do take care not...

This is very rare... I was told by a Bose Tech the raw drivers nearly never fail due to the built in protections in the powerstands...

Let me say this: Bose rules. Customer service was amazing. All I wanted was a speaker...they insisted on replacing the entire Cylindrical Radiator stack instead. Even rush-shipped the unit so I wouldn't have any issues with my upcoming gigs (starting tonight!). Called Monday, package delivered today (Wednesday). Incredible, and a totally hassle-free experience. We all know these products are pricey, but this kind of customer support is truly an amazing value-added benefit that really makes...

Broken part, can it be replaced?

Andy S ·
Folks, I recently purchased a Bose L1 Model II, used. The buyer was open about some minor cosmetic damage. However, in shipping, one of the partially broken pieces broke off completely. The top plate of the bottom half of the tower has a broken piece. (see photo for better description) It still functions correctly, but looks a bit tattered. Also, I am concerned about the stability of the connection with the broken piece being where it is. Can I purchase a replacement plate for this piece?

Replacing broken control panel lid on an L 1 Classic

untabubba ·
I had a mishap and the "hinge pin" on the left end of the rear control panel cover broke off. I want to see about getting a new cover for the rear control panel of the Bose L1 Classic. (The oldest, large, round version.)
