Tonemaster T1 cabling to connect an iphone

just bought L1 1S B2 plus a Tonemaster T1 Question re T1 cabling for connecting an iphone for backing tracks -I am confused, internet search and manual are contradictory. 1.Why can't I simply use the 3.5 mm from the phone and connect to input 1/2 or 3 via a 1/4 stereo jack 2. Do I really have to buy a new cable to connect 3.5mm from phone to 2x 1/4 inch mono jacks into channel 4/5. You can save all your T1® settings as a Scene. Think of it as a snapshot. A Scene captures all your settings except input trim and channel and master volume controls. Hi Dave, Thanks for posting the Peter Thorn video. That was really interesting. The ToneMatch® presets are about making a sound source sound as good as possible through the L1® equipment. They are not about making something sound like something else. For more on that, please see ToneMatch® You and I can use impulse responses with our gear (Line 6 Helix and Kemper Profiler). Two X L1, one x T1

Nick from New Zealand ·
Hi team, I have an upcoming event that's just a little big for my usual single L1/B2. If I run the first L1 the usual way with the digital connection out to the L1, can I add the second L1 to the analogue master out from the T1? Once I manually balance/match the volume on the analogue power stand, the T1 master will control both of the L1 systems together right? I'm aware this won't be a stereo output. Not sure I need it. Thanks!

Hi Scott, I'm sorry for the trouble. You did a good job narrowing down the issue, and so it does sound like a hardware problem. The input meter shows the level directly after the trim knob. So if you're seeing neither the trim LED illuminate nor any input metering at all on that channel, then we'd have to service the T1. Could you give us a call at 877-335-2673 with the serial number? We'll set up service for it.

Hi Tylaus, Thank you for joining the Bose Pro Portable PA Community. Congratulations on getting your new L1® Model 1S with B2 and T1®. Here's a couple of things to try. zEQ: Low 0db , Mid 0.4db, High 0.4db Sing closer to the microphone to get a fuller tone Try different settings for the B2 Have you tried the Minus or Normal settings? Move the B2 a few feet in any direction It may be sitting in a position where it is resonating with the room. Moving it a few feet can make a huge difference.

T1 settings - Feedback problem

Tylaus ·
I've just got a new L1 1S with B2 and T1, and my main application is karaoke. My problem is I have pretty loud feedback occasionally when I move around (not the high pitch, but low frequency bassy/humming feedback). The setup is in my home, the room is about 20x25 feet. I've followed several videos to setup the connections, the trim, and the volumes, so I don't think there's any problems in these areas. The current settings I have are: Channel1 (Mic): - ToneMatch: Vocal Mics Shure SM58 -...

Would like to provide some update. Setting the zEQ to 0db, and moving the B2 around didn't seem to do much. I did these 2 things, and they seem to help quite a bit: (1) Reduce the gain on my Shure SM58 mic by -10db; (2) Set the B2 to Low (instead of Normal). This means I'm losing some power from the mic, and some bass, but they help with the feedback problem. Thanks.

Hi Dan, Thank you for joining the Bose Portable PA Community. I'm sorry you are having a problem with one of your MXL microphones. Intermittent problems are tough to diagnose. I understand how you came to the conclusion that the issue only arises when you have the MXL 67G HE when connected to the T1®. The thing that seems to vindicate the T1® is your MLX 67 works. Suspected Weak Phantom Power on T1 Mixer

Dan Rollo ·
I have two large diaphragm microphones that work reliably with phantom power on a different mixer than the T1. One of the microphones (an older MXL V67 - black) works reliably with the T1 Bose Mixer. However, a newer MXL V67G HE (silver) intermittently drops in/out when connected to the T1 Bose Mixer. I've verified (via cord swapping and channel swapping) that cables and channel number do not affect behavior. It really feels like the T1 is not providing sufficient power for the new...

Thanks for your prompt response. I will reach out to MXL, but remember: Both mics work on a non-T1 mixer, so I don't see how one mic working vindicates the T1. Does the T1 provide full 48v phantom power? (I just read something about some boards only providing 15v or something like that).

Re: Suspected Weak Phantom Power on T1 Mixer

ST ·
Hi Dan, The T1® provides 48V phantom power. If both MXL microphones have the same power requirement (it appears they do from the MXL site), they should both work with the T1® OR the problem is not related to phantom power. Please let us know what you hear from MXL. Thanks, ST

Hi ST, Well, not much info from MXL, at least no solutions. Here's the gist: "Internally, the mics should be the same (or close - your black variant appears to be 10+ years old). There's nothing functionally that should be causing one to work and one not to, and since you've already confirmed both mics work properly on another system, I'm honestly not sure what could be causing the issue. Hi ST, glad you popped by. I'm sure your photos have done the rest to completely clarify the situation for our scandanavian friend. I hope that I'm still fit enough at 72 to swing an axe and sing. After a bit of pondering I came to the conclusion that Tony probably went into one of the inputs of channels 4/5 with his bass guitar (which would of course work and is designed for just this type of connection), and then the microphone via a 1/4" jack into one of the channel outputs which would...
