Bose customer service is excellent!

I've owned and used Bose L1s for a few years now and they have been dead reliable. Recently I had the top and bottom plastic caps on one of my top array sections get damaged during load in so I called Bose to order the replacement parts. Much to my surprise (and amazement!) they offered to send me the two parts for free including shipping! I'm not sure what the cost would have been but I imagine the bottom cap is expensive since it has the connector built in.

While I was on the phone I decided to make arrangements to send it one of my L1 MII powerstands for repair because the multi pin connector was damaged during setup (it still worked but would sometimes have to be jiggled to get a good connection.) The standard repair/ reconditioning charge is pricey at $250 plus shipping (probably about $50) but the Bose rep offered a trade in program for a brand new powerbase for $400.00 shipped. Since mu unit was about 8 or 9 years old and well out of warranty, the extra $100 seemed like a pretty good deal to get a brand new unit with full warranty.

I guarantee you would NEVER get that kind of a deal from JBL or any other company that I know of!
