Hi Mahesh, Okay, this sounds good. I was checking to see if there was anything odd in your setup that might cause problems. No cause for concern here. Instead of Tape Delay and reverb, try this for your vocals microphone : Digital Delay Time: 100 ms Mix: 15% - vary up to 30% Fdbk: 0% - vary up to 10% You should have better intelligibility and move the vocals out in front of the backing tracks. Rack mounting the T8s

Hi, has anyone successfully rack-mounted the T8s? I would like to incorporate it at the top of a small unit with radio mics and in ear systems underneath. I am hoping to save time setting up/packing down at gigs by having a table top style unit that just plugs in to one power source (rather than my current process of plugging in many separate units/XLRs etc.) I see the base of the unit has a screw for a tripod but this wouldn’t be easily incorporated in to a standard rack mount. I’m...Read More...
I can think of 2 options: 1. Music stores carry rackmount enclosures on wheels with tops intended for mixers, that can slant. Screw a flat woodpiece on to the top, then secure the T8S on to the wood. 2. A 2nd idea is a 3-space rackmount "drawer," open-faced (not closed) in the front that slides out of the rack. Secure your T8S on to it. They are built to stay secure in place until you slide it out. Placing it mid-rack should enable you to see and use all the buttons. The gear below should be...Read More...

Monitoring with Reverb

HI folks, It's been a while so hope all are well. I've been using my L1 Model 2 (and more recently my new L1 compact) for solo gigs and because it's mainly me adding vocals to backing tracks, I've never really needed to monitor myself in anyway but as the system is intended - either in front or to the side. However I've been playing some very noisy receptions recently and find occasionally I've gone out of tune as am not hearing the track correctly. This NEVER happens to me at performance...Read More...
Monitors typically are NOT for hearing what is going to the house. And the in-ears also won't give a true mix of the house, just like a set of Mackie speakers won't give the same as the L1. The only way you will get a true house mix is to have the speaker behind you. I use a pair of L1-MIIs behind our 5-pc group, no monitors, and no feedback, even with a mic just 3 ft from the speaker.Read More...

Hum when using my T4S with my Taylor guitar

I am a little mystified by this situation. I have the L1 Compact and the T4S. I played two guitars through this system. The first is a Martin with a high-end sound hole pickup. The second is a Taylor nylon string with the ESN pickup system built into the guitar. Our practice room is in an older house and the room does not have grounded outlets so I have to use an adapter to plug my power strip into the two prong outlet. The mixer and PA are plugged into the power strip. When I connect the...Read More...

Powering T1 from battery.

Hi there I have L1M2 B2 +T1 and S1 Pro I have a Behringer 1002B battery mixer for extra channels when using S1 When using ac power I prefer using T1 with external power supply over 1002B with S1 Is there a way of powering the T1 using a battery? I could use for example a 12v 4a/h SLA battery and pure sine wave 600w inverter to 240v then step down to 18v using the Bose power supply but it seems a bulky solution I see the pins on the power supply output are +18 v Rtn and -18v rtn so its not a...Read More...

T1 Performing Reset?

How long does this process take? Also, for performing musicians, Tech Support being closed on Saturday's isn't very convenient. How do I register my ToneMatch mixer?

troubador
Hi I bought my T8S!! Updated the firmware (to 1.1.4) and will play with it as soon as I have some time to myself. Question: I can't find instructions on how to register the purchase with Bose. I know (at least I'm pretty sure) that I did register my L1M2 and my S1. When I bought those there was documentation on how to register with Bose. Can't find anything like that with my T8S documentation. So I'm wondering ... Is the LCD screen designed to have a black background or is there a way to...Read More...

T8S to L1 Model II noise and inputs

I’m also having this problem ... huge white noise when connected to my Bose L1 series 2 PA via the analogue input (as the digital connection is not a viable option according to the Bose engineers) Other problems are: R mono out is not mono .... Best way to connect T4S mixer to bar's existing XLR speaker system

Good afternoon, New to the site. I am a performing musician, effectively a 'one man show'. I am my own sound tech, light tech etc. I recently purchased a T4S mixer and L1 Model 1s and it's the best thing i've ever done. For 90% of my shows, I use this setup seemlessly and I have no problem connecting and integrating the T4S with the Model 1s. Hi James & ST Im also a full time musician in Australia. I play many venues with a similar system as you described. I'm currently using the T1 ToneMatch with the L1 Model II & B2 sub. I can then have my system as loud or soft as i like on stage & control the house system level from the Allen & Heath to suit. If your happy...Read More...

My set up is L1 M2 with B2 and T1. I use a KMS105 which goes into channel one with the relevant preset selected. My guitar goes into channel two and my backing tracks in 4/5. Hi Geoff, As you know, you can connect all kinds of things (sound sources) to the inputs of your T1. Some sound sources have low-level signals Examples: microphones and piezo pickups (those without preamplifiers). Other sound sources have higher level signals Examples: instruments with electronics like an acoustic guitar with a preamp built-in, keyboards, other mixers The trim control is used to take the signal from the sound source and match it to the internal circuitry in the T1.
