Instructions on how to add your band to this forum:

Ken-at-Bose
Hi Folks, This is a forum that features bands using the L1 system. It's also a chance to showcase your band. Here, we define bands as groups of three or more players. To add your band: - Go to the L1 Bands forum - Click down on the "New" tab and release the mouse button on "Discussion" - We ask that you use a common topic-naming convention "genre : number of players : name of band". So for example, you would have "Rockin' Blues : 7 piece : The Linemen" In that first post, try to include as...Read More...
I have created an online form that will help you to gather all the information, format it and then create a post for your band. L1® Band Post Builder Check it out. It should help with the planning process even if ultimately you choose to compose your post another way. Please send me a Private Message if you have any issues using the form. Have fun with it! THE CUBS - 60's Trio

DrumrPete
I’ve come to the decision that I would be remiss to not post the information on my last band, The Cubs, who broke up in February of 2008. The band is gone but our history remains in the form of many posts, pictures, and video clips. The Cubs were a Classic Country & 60’s Rock/Pop trio. The three of us live in the same small town and are veterans of numerous bands since the early 70’s, but The Cubs band was our first time the three of us played together. We were: Rick Dennis – guitar and...Read More...

Acoustic band (Three Drink Minimum) with guitar, vocals, cajon

Hello – first post! I’m using the Bose L1 model II with B2 and T1 for my acoustic band, Three Drink Minimum. 11 gigs under our belt so far and having great luck with the Bose. Our set-up is an acoustic guitar, vocal + harmonica, and a cajon/percussion player. Due to the number of mics involved, we’re using a Mackie mixer going into one channel of the T1. Input 1 – Vocal mic Input 2 – SM57 miking the sound hole of the cajon. Using the SM57 hand percussion preset + the Kick gate = KILLER...Read More...
We are an acoustic quartet and just bought a L1 1S B2 and run EVERYTHING through a Mackie ProFX16. Fiddle, guitars( mic'd and DI), mando, banjo, bass and 3 vocal mic's. We skip the T1 and go from the Mackie XLR to the 1/4 in balanced on the stand. We can then EQ and set levels all at the Mackie. ZERO feedback. ZERO level problems, with the Bass module at normal. Play from smallish coffeehouses to big 300 ppl beer gardens all without any issues and super clarity. The Mackie just offers lots of...Read More...

Yeah, everyone is always like, "where is your gear"? This particular venue that is pictured has some basic lights that are mounted up and in front of the stage. When I do use lights it is minimal. I have the mount for the tower, which I know is not recommended, but no troubles so far. I mount two lightweight led off of it. I set up John the main vocalist and furthest away from the tower with a wireless mic, so not even many cables laying across the stage.Read More...

L1 + Compact

I have two L1 Mod.2 and a compact. We are having great success with using 1 L1 and the compact. We are a trio with, keyboard, guitar, 3 vocals, and tracks. I sub mix 1 T1 into the other one, (master out into channel 2)this goes out to the L1, then a ¼ inch out (master) to the Compact. Most places we play 1 L1 handles the job. We put the L1 either right or left of the stage depending on room layout. The Compact goes on the other side and acts more as a small fill speaker. It has worked out...Read More...

Rock : 4 piece : Muphin Chuckrs!

Hello everyone! I've been reading these forums for a long time and I am finally a member of the L1 family! My L1 model II and B2 are on their way. I am a Bose employee of nine years, drummer of a Florida band 'Muphin Chuckrs' for thirteen years. We will be replacing our spine-busting rack/PA combo with the L1 combo.
