Hey I've read that the Bose subs sound loud but that you don't "feel" the bass as much. That might be helpful to me. I play vinyl, so I can't put a normal sub under or near the table 'cause of feedback. Maybe the Bose subs can be closer? Anybody tried it?Read More...

I use a DBX GoRaq between the T1 and A1 Packlite Amps. the DBX allows me to connect the Tonematch to left input and gives me two outs (One for each amp and also has a Feedback eliminator. I guess if BOSE releases a stereo version of the Tonematch along with adding a feedback eliminator would be awesome.Read More...

L1 Model I - Preset 3.0 Patch (DJ's only)

Attention DJ’s using the L1™ model I system, We recently identified an isolated issue that only affects DJ’s that are using Preset #58 (High Volume Pre Recorded Music) on the L1™ model I system. It was discovered that L1™ model I power stands with a serial number less than 042829Z72550001AC did not accurately contain the advertised preset #58. This preset is specifically intended for DJ’s playing pre recorded music at higher volume levels. Instead, it contained a flat EQ setting which is...Read More...

DJ's - Do you run your F1 tops with the "with sub" setting or "Full Range"?Read More...
Hi NAW-T-BOY, If you run Source to F1 Subwoofer with F1 Subwoofer HPF and the line out has only frequencies above 100 Hz. The F1 Model 812 goes down to 52 Hz (-3dB) so you are missing out on the frequencies from 52-100 Hz. However if you set the F1 Model 812 EQ to WITH SUB you also cut out the frequencies below 100 Hz that are heard from the F1 Model 812. However, the line out (to the F1 Subwoofer) is still full range. You can't harm anything by putting the switches in odd combinations. So...Read More...

T8s And DJ Controller Hookup

Jablon
Hello BoseWorld, just received my T8s and would like some info on how to get the best of the mixer in my application. I am a mobile dj using primarily Pioneer DDJSZ as my main rig. Over the years I have performed at events where several mics were required and in some cases performers have asked to hook up their equipment [Guitar, Sax] to my mixer. So, the need for the T8. I’ve received conflicting information from BOSE pro support so here I am. *** I would like to hook up the DDJ to the T8...Read More...

F1 model 812

can I hook up F1 model 812 to regular power amp ?Read More...
Hi Manfred Blaise, Welcome to the Bose Portable PA Community. Please do NOT connect a regular power amp to the F1 Model 812. You risk damaging the F1 Model 812, the power amp, or both. The F1 Model 812 is a powered loudspeaker. The power amplifier is built-in. It requires a microphone or line-level input. Does that help? STRead More...

Bass line out

I have my B1 in for repair with Bose, but I have an outdoor gig Saturday. I need more bass from the one side!! is that bass line out 1/4 inch able to run a passive speaker or an active speaker. Will that give me what I am looking for? ThanksRead More...
Hi MamaBear, Here's some more information. You can connect a passive speaker to the Bass Module Out (speakon connection). That output is: 125 watts into 8 ohms 250 watts into 4 ohms Note: both the Bass Module Out and Bass Line Out are Frequency range: 40-200 Hz EQ tuned specifically for the Bose bass modules (B1 or B2) so whatever you connect to these outputs probably won't sound like your B1, but it might get you through your gig. DJ and Karaoke with T1 and one and then two L1 Compacts

Hi, I wonder if anyone can give me some advise, I am new to the forum and so forgive me if this has been covered, I have searched but can't seem to find what I need to know. I have been doing a small venue for djing an d karaoke using 1 l1 compact and it seemed to do the job well until the room got quite full (up to about 80 people) Then I was struggling to get the volume any higher because the l1 compact was going into the red. DJ: What can the T4S do for me?

Perhaps you could use the T4 as a preamp for more vocal mic options (eq, compression, effects) .... besides that, your Denon x1800 is a better "DJ" mixer IMO.Read More...

DJ's Using F1 System

Hey everyone, Just curious about which DJ's are using the F1 system, and how you are using them. Which position do you set the arrays to? Are you using the built-in stands, or separate speakers stands? Do you use the F1 subs? Do you couple the F1 subs? Do you use an external mixer or the Bose ToneMatch mixer(s)? Do you use additional processing, such as a BBE or DriveRack? I think it will be fun to see how DJ's are using this system.Read More...

Fundraiser Event

Hello, This coming weekend, I will be providing sound for a fundraiser event at a reception hall . I did this event last year using my two L1 Compact speakers. The event consists of a dinner, a guest speaker, and an auction. Last year, I played background music for the dinner and provided a microphone for the guest speaker and for the auctioneer. I will be doing the same this year. Last year, the two L1 Compact speakers worked great in this venue, until the auction took place. There were a...Read More...

What to Buy

Hi everyone, I am a mobile DJ that does mostly weddings and school dances. My typical wedding crowds are usually between 100-300 people, but I have done a few already that have had up to 500 people. I use two Bose L1 Compact systems for small receptions and ceremonies. When I need more bass for my smaller events, I use two Bose B2 bass modules that are crossed over using a dbx DriveRack PA2 . For my bigger events, I use two Peavey PV118 subwoofers, and two Alto TS112 speakers. I am looking...Read More...

Connect DJ Controller to T1

well, I am currently using a 3ft cable 1/4 from my DJ controller, thinking I was getting a balanced connection. I suspect there not to be an issue by NOT using a balanced 3ft connection (I used to use the XLR connection). Since then, I have not noticed anything yet such as hum or interference. Here's when the Bose L1 isn't loud enough

Nick from New Zealand
I did a corporate event earlier this week for 58 guests in a reasonably small room. They had a (very good) live entertainer using a pair of Mackie 15" subs and SRM450 tops, and he played L O U D. I was set up directly opposite him on the other side of the dance floor. When he finished his nearly 90 minute set, I had a complaint from one of the guests that I wasn't loud enough at the back of the dance floor. That would be the side closest to where the live entertainer was. 61 guests. I had...Read More...
similar situation, but I was on the other end of the systems... did a wrap party for a major TV show end of season. The director , some show starts, and crew were actually good players/singers etc..so they wanted to have a fun jam band setup..but they also had a DJ/Kareoke crew come in..the DJ brought in an L1 with 2 subs..and before the crowd arrived, I was quite impressed with it..once the rented bar venue was filled with noisey party goers, the Bose got lost, but those in the immediate...Read More...
