Email Notifications and Following a Forum or Discussion

There are several ways to turn on email notifications so that you are notified when someone posts or replies in the community. 

When you create a new discussion or reply to someone else's you are automatically subscribed to that discussion. That means that you don't need to check back to see if anything has happened. You will get an email as soon as there's activity.

Here's a quick video that shows you the various places that you can control your email notifications.


  1. Click Forums
  2. Click Directory
    Forums Directory
  3. Click Follow Forums (turn on or off notifications for ALL forums
    Follow Forums
    Check or uncheck what you want to get, then click UPDATE

  4. If you have turned off notifications for all forums you can scroll down through the directory to a forum you want to follow (get notifications. Click Follow This Forum and check the boxes that are right for you.

    Click UPDATE

Now you know how to control your notifications and enjoy your community.

Hi Ted,

Please go to Notifications Settings

Scroll down to Forums and make sure all three boxes are unchecked.

Then click Show Per-Forum Settings

You will be able to select which forums will trigger an email notification.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit.

That should stop the unwanted notifications.
