Bose S1 pro

Forum: Deutsch
RF-Musiker/ Musician

L1 Classic - Clicking Noise

Hello! We're a nationwide entertainment company, and one of our locations is working with an L1 Classic which is making a clicking noise. It's always in the background when speaking into the mic, and when music is playing, it overpowers the music. We've tried switching cables, unplugging everything and plugging back in, but the noise is still there. Does anyone have suggestions/ideas as far as what may be causing the issue or potential solutions? It's also worth noting that this system is at...Read More...
Sorry to hear about the trouble. If this doesn't just end up being a power/grounding issue with the outlet in question, then this seems to be internal, and there is nothing we could try, short of what you have already tried. I suggest calling our Pro Portable support team at 877-335-2673 for a service solution.Read More...

Source Output Levels for Bose F1 System

DJ8X
I have read in a few places that the Bose F1 system performs best when connected to a source with a strong output level. I am wondering just how true this may be. I lean toward the idea that the F1 system performs well no matter the source. I was able to connect my system to two sources with different output levels, and I was able to achieve optimal sound on both sources. My test was very non-scientific. I just used the limit indicators on the F1 Sub and 812 as a reference point. I was able...Read More...
Yaaaaay....it's all good. My original test came from the desire of wanting to eliminate my Mackie mixer from the signal chain. While it does have a greater output than my Pioneer controller, the only real difference I observed was it had the ability to peak my system faster than my controller. My next test will actually involve spl meter readings at peak from both sources. If the Mackie proves to be "louder", then I might concluded that it also lowers the noise floor.Read More...

S1 Pros as Front of House with F1 Subwoofer

Hello ST and the Bose Community, I was able to get a test at a live gig yesterday. VENUE: Local Winery, in the winter I play indoors and in smaller room upstairs. I would say the room is about 40 X 50 and opens up to a larger room on the side. Attentive crowd at best although our band seems to get the crowd up and moving and there was much dancing by the end of the gig!! I have used an Model L1s with B2 many time in the past and it worked great in this room. There was about 50 or so in the...Read More...
To all: I apologize. I ran the tests above with the T8S ToneMatch mixer. I realized after I posted the comments above that I had the DJ High Volume Preset set on the channel I used for the F1 Model 812. I re-ran all the tests and I have amended my comments . The S1 Pro is more similar to the F1 Model 812 than I first thought. However, if you push hard using the DJ High Volume Preset in the ToneMatch mixers, the F1 Model 812 handles that better. Very satisfied

I've had my S1 Pro since 2-2-18.The battery was back ordered because of being sold out.I was very disappointed with the sound until I discovered I hadn't switched on the appropriate channel preset for the microphone and guitar.Once I toggled the switch on,there was that wonderful Bose sound I've become addictive to.I tried all 4 positions, and found I liked the S1 on a speaker stand the best. My battery came in 2-15-18.I followed all the instructions and woke the battery up and started...Read More...

Connecting Mac Book Air with tracks to Mackie FX12V2 mixer

I have been told that I should use the 9/10, 11/12 left inputs with unbalanced 1/4 " plugs to get stereo music from the Mac-through the Mackie and out the 2 Bose L1 Compacts. I can only get the music from red and white RCA cables into the tape RCA connection. I need to be able to set some treble, bass and reverb from the Mackie. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Doo Wop PhilRead More...
Hi doowopphil, If you are running your L1 Compacts in stereo, then the connections are simple. Connect the Mackie Left output to one L1 Compact. Connect the Mackie Right output to the other L1 Compact. Connect the headphone out from Mac headphone output jack with a cable like this to a stereo input channel 5/6 or 7/8 Link to details Here's a link to the Owners Manual for the Mackie ProFXV2 12 . See pages 9 and 10. This will allow you to "set some treble, bass and reverb from the Mackie."...Read More...

USB on T1 for Power?

MColin28
Hi All! I run break music on set breaks at gigs. I have a wireless bluetooth transmitter that streams from my iPad. That goes into a 1/8-->1/4 into Ch4/5. My question is, does the Bose T1 USB port provide a charge to that bluetooth transmitter if needed? Meaning, on my other mixer there is a USB port and sometimes the 4 hour long constant running of the battery of the BT transmitter runs low and the USB will charge it. If I plugged in a USB adaptor to the T1, would it charge? It's a small...Read More...

1st Gen L1 - and B2's

Hi I have the first generation of L1 - with the half-moon base (PS1). I want to add another B2. The manual is confusing. It has a diagram on p13 showing one just connects another B2 unit in series. Yet the text says "Do not connect more than two B1 bass modules to the B1 Bass Module (Amp 3 OUT) jack on the PS1 power stand." Please advise: can another B2 just be added in series, or is the L1PKLT required? If so, will this old model of mine work OK with L1PKLT? Thanks JacquesRead More...
